Not necessarily, there's no real proof yet. The only real proof is to have a situation where everyone is fully vaccinated before a virus comes in, and then if it comes in, see if anyone gets infected

NSW cases started dropping from 24th Sep well before 70% fully vaxxed was achieved, so it must have been deserted streets, mask wearing and distancing that did it. As time went on, bods were probably becoming more aware they needed to do those things enthusiastically and not wait for mass vaccination. So far, vaccination has only been a song and a prayer. I'm double vaxxed but I'm certainly not relying on it because no one can say I'm out of danger

I'll keep doing the only things that have worked with this virus, wear my mask (actually it's two masks, one over the other), and stay away from infected areas

It is an appalling failure. It may well have been more successful not to be "vaccinated".

According to the ABS those over 90 had a CFR of 40%, those 70-79 30%. And yet an 86% death rate is classed as good. Roll Eyes
