If you look at the children's shot scheme you see the same shots are given year after year.

Also the covid vax is designed to be protection against covid 1. It is less effective against mutant strains and each new strain removed one generation from the original will in most cases be even less effective, the more that the non vaxed sponsor the virus to survive, flourish and mutate the less effective the vaccine will be and the greater the need of a booster of some type. This is the reason that there is a new FLU shot every year.

Because in care facilities almost everyone is vaxxed.

The less people in the community who are unvaxxed the less unvaxed people there are to catch it. These facilities have vaccination rates well over 90%.

No vaccination offers 100% protection. You can still get any virus you are vaccinated against. That's why heard immunity is so important.

Are those numbers for the Alpha variant?

The Israelis found Pfizer dropped to around 40% 6 months after 2nd dose with Delta variant.
