but the internet age has led many to believe that happiness, safety and never having to confront discomfort are a birth right,

the farmer recognises that adversity is just a fact of life.

the temperature is going to go up. thats a certainty. you can no more stop that then hold back the tide. you think all those aspirational people in africa and asia are going to live in mud huts? they want the same lifestyle and consumer goods you do.

so lets just admit temperatures are going up several degrees and learn to be tough and cope with that.

covid is also just a fact of life. thats a certainty. you can no more stop covid then hold back the tide. you think all those tests and jabs mean you are entitled to good health? you arent. lots of people are going to get sick and die. its the way nature operates. my old horses just reach a use by date and i dont send them to vetinary ICU units because "you cant put a price on a horses life" of course you can.
people die, the death anxiety of the coddled urban chode is totally at odds with nature.

he honestly thinks he can live forever and he thinks he is of value as a "consumer" and he thinks there should be a law against him ever experiencing discomfort and that he entitled to be the centre of the universe.

the internet has divorced people from the brutal harsh reality of the world.

but that wont save them

they live in a fools paradise

I’m not anti vax I’ve had mine…I’m not a Trump supporter but understand why he was elected.

On the other hand I don’t understand why the Yanks elected an aged dill with a cognitive disability.
