Arsehole Morriscum is apparently introducing dodgy legislation that requires voters to show proof of identity when voting in the next election.
This is obviously aimed at Abos and the homeless who might not have id and of course are likely to vote Labor.
https://www.news.com.au/national/politics/scott-morrisons-proposed-voter-id-laws...Centre Alliance MP Rebekha Sharkie told NCA NewsWire the proposed laws may sound logical on face value but would likely cause voter participation among Indigenous and migrant populations to plummet.
“What we can see is a significant correlation between being remote and not participating in elections, and also being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander,” Ms Sharkie said.
“I do not want to support any legislation that would just add another barrier to Aboriginal people or remote people voting.”
I can't see remote Aborigines, busting to travel to vote but now wont take the 4 hour drive because they cant find their social security payment receipts behind the sofa sonewhere. It is not about Aborigines at all, remote or not. In any case, SIGNIFICANTLY MORE non-Aborigines than Aborigines live in remote or very remote Australia.
"The 53,500 remaining Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people (7%) lived in Remote Australia and Very Remote Australia (95,200 or 12.0%), while 239,900 Non-Indigenous people (1.0%) lived in Remote Australia and 106,300 or 0.5% in very remote Australia."
