GREENS PREFERENCE BARNABY JOYCE'S NATIONAL PARTY OVER LABOR

In a shocking turn of events, the Greens Party has made a decision to preference a long-term National Party member and previous federal Nationals candidate over Labor in the Byron Shire Mayoral Election.

This dirty decision stinks of political opportunism - and beggars belief.

This is same the National Party that:

❌ believes climate change is a hoax
❌ is actively working to ensure Australia never reaches net-zero emissions
❌ supports Scott Morrison's Liberals in a Coalition agreement to keep him as Prime Minister
❌ voted with the Greens to kill Labor's CPRS bill, leading to 10 years of inaction on climate change
❌ is currently trying to ram through voter suppression laws to make it harder to vote
❌ and is currently blocking an anti-corruption commission at every turn.

Why are the Greens preferencing the National Party? What an absolute disgrace.

The Greens are backing the National Party for power. Don't trust the Greens at any level of government.

Where the greens stand.

Everything they say is spoken with a forked tongue.

They made their way into our council with all manner of promises and assurances that things important to rate payers woukd be sacrosanct, then immediately discarded every policy for their own agenda.
They destroys so much of our coast in the name of green lunatic rantings.

The political mantra is universal.

The government will do, say or pretend anything to stay in power.
Limited only by what they think they can get away with.

The opposition will do, say or pretend anything to get into power
Limited only by what they think they can get away with.

Each and every independent will do, say, pretend or side with anything to stay elected.
Limited only by what they think they can get away with.

Lies, corruption, betrayal, nepotism, even murder If they thought they could get away with it, there is no limit to the lengths they will sink.
There is no such being as an honest politician.

Although many go into politics with the objective of fixing and honoring their jobs.
They find that to even make the slightest improvement or change, they must first "give a little bit"
Little bits become bigger bits until any bit is ok.
Suddenly they make excuses to themselves that they are only part of the machine and then they become career politicians as described above.

The system corrupts.
As with power, power corrupts
Ultimate power corrupts ultimately.
