Member's mother passes away.
Nov 27th, 2021 at 7:09am

Some bad news for poor Monk posted this morning at his site:

Monk,
Quote:
Mum passed away at 01:08 this morning. Her ending was peaceful. Her three children, a grandchild and our lovely Chinese neighbors were there. Pneumonia alone would not have done it, sepsis had set in.

In a way it was victory, death summoned before all traces of her were taken away by the bloody dementia! I will send a donation to whatever body is researching causes and cures of dementia. Will also see if co-donations can be collected after the funeral service.

Mum was a lapsed Catholic. I know the funeral directors she wanted—they have a chapel that used to be a Catholic church so both Mum and the chapel are lapsed Catholics!

Tomorrow (Sunday) I will drive to the house of my younger sister and spend a couple of days there. Will see if I can contact what is left of the family in Holland.

My condolences Monk.

Bobby

So Sad.

In time there will be good memories and little smiles with the sadness.

posting personal information from other sites on the internet is a bannable offense goober.

Did you ask monk if he wanted info on the death of his mum posted here before announcing it to all of ozpol? Or did your juices start flowing when you found some more gossip to spread around and your couldn't help yourself?

Give it a break, there would be a public death notice anyway.

Bobby is constantly criticizing Monk's board as being a "gay" or "poofter" site so why would he even read there unless he is looking for cock?

I was not going to buy into this but I now have Monk's permission to do so.  If he had not given that permission, I would have said nothing.

Bubby, you are a turd of the first order.  A gossipy little prick who needs to learn some respect for people.

The information concerning the passing of Monk's mother was Monks to share, when and where he wanted to share it.  It is his choice to make, and not some snotty nosed arsehole like you.

You have posted Member personal information contrary to Rules here, and to use Monk's own words...he is 'hurt and offended I could not announce the death on OzPol myself and hope he bans Bobo for a smacking year!'

At Monk's request, I will be reporting that breach to freediver.

You need to sharpen your pencil about matters which are personally sensitive Bubby.

And a telegram from the Queen given she was over 100 years old.

I have no idea why anyone would be sad to lose someone at age 100 plus.

I lost mum last year and she was just UNDER 70 yrs of age.

That was sad. It still tears me up. If only I could have had an extra 3 decades like Monk did. Id be thankful just for an extra 3 years.

When I posted about my mother's passing elsewhere online others came forward to tell me they could empathise as their mums had passed too. Some in their 30's and some in their 40's.

These posts made me realise how lucky and blessed I was to have lost mum just before she reached 70.

It's all a matter of perspective.

We need to be thankful for the years we had our mums. And to remember those years.

That's all we can do.

Anyway back to this topic ... what a good innings Monk.

Rare innings too. You should be proud of her Monk. I'm proud of her and I don't even know her! I love strong women and for her to get to 100 plus she was a VERY tough girl indeed! 🌹

Yes - she had a good innings.
It's a very sad day indeed.
Monk looked after her well and is to be commended.
