Deborah Mailman shines in this political drama.  She shines brighter than all the other big stars who support her.  The story mixes elements from recent political history such as Hanson and the campaign in Indie with it's ground breaking grass roots support for the independent candidate making use of the internet.  Facing a barrage of personal abuse which she tracks back to the originator who works for the PM, she manages to get elected and to force who she wants to become PM - an indigenous man from the ALP after seeing the Libs PM get knifed in the back by her own party.  The final scene of her forcing her way into the chamber after being stabbed by a racist white man is telling.   Well worth watching to see the Madonna-Whore complex at work.   

The first series was good. Have not watched the second yet.
