You seem to forget that in 2008 the part of the constitution that this belief relies upon was ruled to be a meaningless prefatory clause. The supreme court basically ruled that this is just dribble and that the second part of the 2nd amendment the operative clause is the bit with the meat.

i.e the bit that has meaning and effect.

You seem to want to have it both ways (have your cake and eat it too). Diminishing the prefatory clause is the bit that moves the second part to apply to anyone and everyone having an unreasonable right to be armed and making any sensible control impossible.

These court decisions are only possible (2008) if the first section has no value. Read literally guns are protected for militia members and anyone else can go whistle if control is needed, almost certainly what the amendment was originally meant to do.

Here they can sedate themselves on as much drugs and alcohol as they like as Australia has the highest ratio per population of any other nation of drug/alcohol usage.
Here they are rooted by the Cops, because love conquers all and $$$ exploited by the Art Industry.

And in our great country you can happily pay far too much for everything.
You can do anything you want as long as its not something any one of 100 different departments have decided you cant.
Basically anything is illegal.

You have few rights in Australia, and even they are being eroded daily.
And its illegal to protect yourself (just in case you hurt the criminal)
You can have just about everything though.
You just have to "identify" as an abbo, and dont think that requires any abbo blood.

Its a great country, its only the idiots in charge that are stuffing it up

Americans Will Always Oppose Gun Bans & Laws especially if:

✪ If they are not effective in getting illegal guns out of the hands of criminals who's possession of them is illegal in the first place.

✪ If they are aimed at Law-Abiding American Gun Owners rather than Criminals that obtain guns to be used for criminal purposes.

✪ If the guns the government are attempting to ban are in common use by Law-Abiding American Citizens specifically for lawful purposes, such as self-defense.....to defend & protect themselves, their loved ones, their friends, & their property.

Laws are only as good as their enforcement.....No enforcement, the laws become virtually nullified.

Next, how are you going to deal with the many hundreds of criminals who will never obey any law, or effectively destroy the 'black market' they get their firearms from? Maybe you could try a ban on their guns first.....you know, like a test trial, to see if your plan can succeed.

Now, lets say you succeeded above, how do you convince law-abiding gun owners, who never have used their firearms illegally, & probably never will, that turning in their firearms would make them safer?

Lastly remember.....Americans have always had the Right to Keep & Bear Arms, specifically for lawful purposes, such as self-defense.....to defend & protect themselves, their loved ones, their friends, & their property. It's deeply ingrained in the Unique American Culture....a unique gun culture, dissimilar to any in the world, how are you going to convince them that they no longer have the Right to the firearms of their choosing?

As to ‘unique American culture’ those of us living outside of the so called land of the brave and the free have a clear view of the insanity infecting your national thinking. I have no intention of attempting to persuade Americans they have no right to the firearms of their choosing given those very firearms will soon remove a vast number of you from the planet in your deluded attempt to impose your idea of democracy on a system that’s anything but.
