Had you watched McGowan's lecture you would have seen that the interpreter was not speaking anything other than English with a very few native words thrown in. If someone could understand that then they could understand McGowan. In any case the entire tone of his speech was patronsing and condescending even without the 'interpreter'. Roll Eyes

Something to consider.

'Mark McGowan had an Indigenous interpreter translate his COVID safety message from English to Kriol (a widely spoken Aboriginal language). Sadly,the video (https://fb.watch/avWpAak5Kw/) has been widely mocked & criticised. This article explains why the video is not racist.'
