Russian propaganda site publishes lies about the USA:

https://sputniknews.com/20220129/ukraines-dilemma-how-us--nato-are-beating-the-d...

Quote:
Washington's decision to send 8,500 troops to Ukraine is nothing but a political move, Marsili says, adding that this military force is by no means enough to withstand a hypothetical invasion.

A fact check -
the USA will not send any soldiers to Ukraine.
If any are sent they will go to NATO allies.

evidence:

https://www.npr.org/2022/01/24/1075389920/us-troops-eastern-europe-russia-ukrain...

Quote:
The countries where the U.S. troops could be sent has not been determined, Kirby said, though he indicated they could be sent to Eastern Europe. Possible destinations include Poland, Romania, Bulgaria or Hungary. The New York Times reported that the Baltic countries — Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania — were also under consideration.

"This is really about reassuring the eastern flank of NATO," Kirby said.

UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine crisis ends
in standoff between US and Russia

Jennifer Hansler

By Jennifer Hansler, CNN

Updated 1920 GMT (0320 HKT) January 31, 2022

...

(CNN)The US Ambassador to the United Nations declared Monday that Russia "didn't give us the answers that any of us would've hoped that they would provide" after a tense United Nations Security Council meeting over Moscow's escalation along the border with Ukraine ended in a standoff.
US Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield told reporters following the session, in which the US accused Russia of planning to mass tens of thousands of troops along the Belarus-Ukraine border, that the US "called for this meeting to allow the Russians to give us an explanation of what their actions are."
"We didn't hear much," she said.

The open meeting at the UN headquarters in New York proceeded Monday despite opposition from China and Russia.

US officials have repeatedly urged Moscow to take a diplomatic path forward, warning that a renewed invasion of Ukraine would result in swift and significant sanctions -- a message reiterated by President Joe Biden on Monday while the meeting was underway.

In her remarks to the Security Council Monday, Thomas-Greenfield said, "We continue to hope Russia chooses the path of diplomacy over the path of conflict in Ukraine. But we cannot just 'wait and see.' It is crucial that this Council address the risk that their aggressive and destabilizing behavior poses across the globe."
She spoke of Russia's buildup of more than 100,000 troops along its border with Ukraine, as well as US intelligence that Russia has moved nearly 5,000 troops into Belarus and intends to mass "more than 30,000 troops near the Belarus-Ukraine border ... by early February."
"If Russia further invades Ukraine, none of us will be able to say we didn't see it coming. And the consequences will be horrific," Thomas-Greenfield said.
Russian Ambassador to the UN Vasily Nebenzia claimed UN colleagues are "whipping up tensions and rhetoric," saying that the US and others wanted conflict to take place.

Biden wants the old USSR back.

...just like the good old days as he remembers it.
It's all he 'can' remember.

Maybe Dopey Demented Joe should concentrate on securing the South US border where many thousands of illegals (including Terrorists and Cartel members) are entering America instead of talking utter drivel about Russia and The Ukraine, but what else can we expect from a senile old duffer. The US will do very little in the case of Russia's actions on the Ukraine border.  Undecided

Far from being the result of Western scheming, that collapse reflected structural forces that have operated virtually continuously in Eurasia for the past two centuries, including the hardening, during the decades of Soviet rule, of conflicting national elites, ambitions and aspirations. Equally, if Russia’s influence over its hinterland faded, it was because its economic, social and political model was, and remains, so deeply flawed.

For all the attractions of, and rhetoric about, restoring former glory, Putin must realise that. He clearly recognises that the kleptocracies that emerged from the disintegration of the Soviet Union – and that now stretch from the EU’s borders to the Mongolian steppes – pose no threat to his own kleptocratic regime. They are, for sure, reluctant to share their loot with the Putin clan and distrust its long-term goals, but they have a common interest in survival and no interest in undermining each other’s grip on power.

Yet matters are entirely different with respect to the handful of democracies that emerged from the Soviet wreckage, and particularly with Russia’s historical cousins in Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and Armenia.

With their governance marred by endemic corruption and ethnic tensions, these are already extremely fragile states; Putin is determined to ensure their experiment in democracy ends in chaos, preventing them from acting as a role model for young Russians. And there is no easier way to destabilise them than to fan separatist tensions and permanently threaten their existence – as Russia is now doing in Ukraine.

Ukraine is, however, a country whose longstanding legal status as a sovereign nation is beyond doubt. It is also beyond doubt that the US has repeatedly given assurances about its territorial integrity, not least in the 1994 Budapest Memorandum on Security Assurances. If Russia is allowed to act in ways that plainly amount to the crime of aggression, what value can possibly be placed on the myriad guarantees offered to Taiwan, which does not even possess formal sovereignty?

The answer, simply put, is none. Putin knows that, as does Xi Jinping. Little wonder that as the West dithers, they smile.

U.S. Troops Prepare for Deployment
to Eastern Europe From Fort Bragg

By Reuters

(Reuters) - Paratroopers with the U.S. Army boarded aircraft on Thursday to leave for Eastern Europe amid escalating tensions between Ukraine and Russia.

The soldiers were departing from Fort Bragg in North Carolina. Around 1,700 service members, mainly from the 82nd Airborne Division, are being deployed to Poland, while 300 others will move to Germany.

"What you're seeing out here today... is a facility that we typically use for paratroopers before they load out to conduct their operation," U.S. Army spokesman Matthew Visser said.

"Right now it's being used for the pre-mobilization for soldiers from 18th Airborne Corps and 82nd Airborne Division who are fulfilling their order to deploy to Europe, both to Germany and to Poland, in support of assuring our NATO allies and our partners in deterring Russia," he said.

The United States said on Wednesday it will send a total of nearly 3,000 extra troops to Poland and Romania to shield Eastern Europe from a potential spillover from the crisis over the massing of Russian troops near Ukraine.

USSR dominated China and turned them to Communism, let alone stole a lot of land in it's white expansionism into Asia (to kick out the Yellow Mongol from Asia with its default Cold War alliance with the USA to do such).
USSR then caved to the USA, folded and became Capitalist Russia.
Russia is now caught between a rock and a hard place between Europe and 'Yellow' Asia.
500,000 Chinese now live in Russian lands, many in uniform - via covert invasion.
Putin is too scared to take action against these Chinese, because he knows Russia is no match for China now - the tables have turned.
Russia is no match for Europe/NATO/etc either and can only hope Ukraine is left to fend for itself.
China will justify its reason to exist by attacking Russia, rather than aiming for the long-shot against a more dangerous USA directly.
China to take back Siberia for the Yellow Man.

...my money is still on China to take Russia out. Wink

Eastern European Slavs, no longer able to head east into Asia - will now colonise Australia as the Western European Celts have done SFA with this part of the world so far. Cheesy

JaSin,
the major powers simply can't get involved in wars between each other
because they have nuclear weapons.
If one side started to lose they would for instance
use tactical nukes on large tank formations -
as the only way to stop them.
That would lead to more nukes and eventually Armageddon.

It's anew axis of evil:

https://www.ibtimes.com/russia-wins-chinese-backing-showdown-over-ukraine-339041...

Russia won China's backing

in its showdown with the West over Ukraine on Friday, as Beijing agreed with Moscow that the US-led NATO military alliance should not admit new members.

The demand for NATO to stop expanding came after a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in Beijing that saw Putin hail the two countries' "dignified relationship".

In a long strategy document, Moscow and Beijing hit out at what they said was Washington's destabilising role in global security.

"The parties oppose the further expansion of NATO and call on the North Atlantic Alliance to abandon the ideological approaches of the Cold War era," the document read, urging respect for the "sovereignty, security and interests of other countries."

Russia is doomed Bobby.
All is not what it seems.
The Media's job is to sell the lie, keep the mainstream public in the dark.

Military is more 'orthodox' to the Middle-East (the most military cultured region with the 'hidden Emperor') and North America - the Politician.
Not Europe (Music) and Asia (Maths). Wink

No it won't. We still have many World Wars to go. It's a process the 'human' world has to go through.

But hey, we are 'down under' Namerica, but we are a 'day ahead' of Namerica - because they are indeed at 'the end of the world'. Wink Grin

Ukraine tensions: US sources say Russia 70%
ready to invade Ukraine

Russia has assembled about 70% of the military capability needed for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in the coming weeks, US officials say.

The ground is expected to freeze and harden from mid-February, enabling Moscow to bring in more heavy equipment, the unnamed officials said.

Russia is said to have more than 100,000 troops near Ukraine's borders but denies planning to attack.

The US officials did not provide evidence for their allegation.

They said the information was based on intelligence assessments but that they were unable to give details due to its sensitivity, US media report.

The officials also said they did not know if Russian President Vladimir Putin planned to invade Ukraine, adding that a diplomatic solution was still possible.

Putin won't invade.

He's just testing Biden (it always happens with a new POTUS), and he wants to get himself back on the news instead of China.

Funnily enough when Putin and that little Korean guy tested Trump when he was the new POTUS, Trump got down on his knees and proceeded to suck their cocks with gay abandon (pardon the pun).

When the little Korean fella and Putin tested Biden, he stood up like a man and told them to bugger off.
