I think it's time to retire the term 'race' from common english vernacular due to its having been warped beyond a universal definition.

The term has not been rehabilitated since the Nazis tied themselves into knots via mental gymnastics in an attempt to define Jews as a separate race, using pseudo-sciences.

Then there's the grossly simplistic reduction by the American experience to refer to skin colour alone (black or white) which has further warped the term.

No European-descent person would regard internecine European conflicts as race wars; as no European-descent person defines themselves exclusively as white.

Another term that could probably replace it is: ethnicity; with its malevolent manifestation being: ethno-chauvinism.

Hmmmmmmmm.
