Flying with Fatties

Last week I was waiting in the Burbank airport to catch a flight to Salt Lake City when I noticed two fatties sitting just down from me. I started to sweat thinking about rolls of blubber spilling over into the narrow seat on the narrow commuter flight. "Please God, don't put one of them next to me," I prayed.

When we got off the ground I turned my head and saw them seated next to each other. "Are they a couple?" I wondered. I am still not sure how Delta managed to squeeze them both into such a narrow space. There were plenty of empty seats on the plane and I thought they might take advantage of that but they did not. And the seatbelts. Are seatbelt extenders available? They must be given that so many Americans are obese.

It must have been a torturous experience for both of them. I am not completely heartless.

Once on a flight to Japan, I saw a fatty curled up on the floor next to the emergency exit. She was there for quite a while before the flight attendant said something. I couldn't make out the exchange but she stayed there until we arrived at Narita. I can only guess the flight attendant took pity on her understanding how uncomfortable it is for a fatty to sit in a cramped seat for 14 hours.

Just put Fat Albert over the wings where the point of balance is.... and make sure his extra luggage is position in the middle as well..

"This is your Captain speaking ... we have had a serious malfunction in the horizontal trim system causing nose down instability - would all Fat Weight Control Challenged (hell - that was a mouthful) People please change seats with those of lighter build (The Horizontally Challenged) at the REAR of the aircraft.... this directive is made under the Safety of Aircraft Act and is enforceable by cabin crew...."

It's high time passengers are weighed along with their baggage to determine excess baggage charges. It's hardly fair that someone like my wife who is 60kgs ringing wet gets charged a fortune for a 10kg overweight bag when a 100kg fattyboombah with a just underweight bag waddles right thru.

As for plane seats, perhaps cameras could be installed in the back of each seat which could detect encroachment by the fatty into the neighbouring seat and the airline could apportion the fare and transfer funds from the fatty to the encrochee.

Fatties get banned from All you can Eat establishments like Drunks do from Bars and Pubs.

Fatties should be sent to Famined Nations like Ethiopia to work off the excessiveness.

Never go down on a Fatty, you'll never hear the stereo.

America is in essence just a big FAT nation of excess.

...in truth though, I do feel sorry for FAT people who are 'fed' nothing but crap after crap after crap from their Political leaders.
In America, one of the 'cheapest' consumerisms is food - more 'quantity' than quality sadly.

In Australia, everyone is very skinny. The price of food here is expensive and the type is all lefty boutique over-healthy stuff that just 'cleans you out' both in bowels and wallet.

An Englishman in America told me what he thought was a funny joke, something about fatties knowing where all the best restaurants are. I looked him in the eye and told him he hasn't been in America long enough ...

Old school mate says he buys two seats - amazing - he was our school Rugby captain and now he is so big I call him a beachmaster walrus..... he's happy enough though... but he can't stand in lines at the airports these days anyway - constantly offers to go on a holiday with me and the old girl and he says he'll pay for it all. I can't do that... Tibet is my thing - though he'd love to see the old Crusader castles and such in the Med...... not sure he'll make it... would be fun, though.

You know - he offered to leave me the $200k cash he has in the bank ... I said - No - leave it all to your kids, equal splits so there's no argument. I'm broke, but not that badly off... been rich and poor both....

Most of my flights in Australia were premium and all of my overseas flights were business. If you pay for comfort, you get comfort. If you cant afford it, thats your own fault
