Beijing 2022

It seems Indian media has no fear of upsetting the CCP.

Some points:

Indian media outlet WION is referring to the Beijing Olympics as the Genocide Games.

The outbreak of omicron within the games' 'green zone', the closed loop, shows that the plan for athletes and officials to remain virus-free has failed. The IOC has played down the failure.

Athletes are being advised by the FBI to take burner phones to Beijing amid warnings that the CCP will monitor athletes movements and comments by forcing athletes to download a CCP app: My2022, pack-loaded with spyware. Over 1000 athletes have so far heeded the warning.

WION has suggested that the Beijing games are an insult to the spirit of the Olympics.

Something Leni Riefenstahl commented about Hitler and his attitude towards the 1936 Olympics:

'As a ultra-nationalist, Hitler had very little interest in the spirit and ethos of the Olympics Games with its emphasis on internationalist ideals'.

Also, like the CCP, his government went to great lengths to ensure athletes and diplomats did not report on nor witness anti-ethnic actions while the games were on.

For the CCP, there's little doubt they'll be glad when it's over so they can continue repression and their totalitarian objectives without the risk of it being exposed by foreign media.

Beijing 2022 - A complete CCP disaster.

Matt Tye sums it up well:

The Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics were incredibly important for Chinese leadership. Unfortunately for them, it backfired. It was disastrous, and now China faces some serious issues.

Summarising his assessment:

- The CCP is in a state of paranoia about the truth being published about the Olympic mess.

- The forced installation of My2022 on phones allowed the CCP to spy on foreign athletes and censor their messages.

- Viewership of the Olympics worldwide is down 43%

- Dubbed the Genocide Games, it has been compared to the 1936 Munich Olympic Games

- The sites for Olympic venues look like industrial wastelands, although the images the CCP has supplied have all had their backgrounds airbrushed out.

- Industrial wastelands are common throughout China and the Chinese mistakenly believe this proves progress [similar to Stalin's Soviet Union].

- The IOC (like the WHO before it) has colluded with the CCP to cover-up the serious issues of the Olympics.

- Forced labour camps are not confined to Xinjiang, they're everywhere in China

- Food delivered to foreign athletes was substandard and loaded with steroids and pesticides. Chinese athletes were told not to eat meat as they may test positive for banned substances.

Watch for the rest (it gets worse).

Given the PRC is responsible for the Covid pandemic, illegal territorial seizures and aggressive military action in the South China Sea, threats to neighbours and increasingly blatant human rights violations at home I'm surprised that the Olympics went ahead at all.

Not surprised the IOC was too spineless to take the games away from the PRC, however I thought  individual nations would have boycotted them. The similarities to 1936 are plain to see.
