Australian infrastructure
Feb 9th, 2022 at 2:15pm

The political climate's right for a New Deal, leftards. Any party offering a nation-building infrastructure plan could rake it in right now.

A national solar power scheme. Turn the rooftops of the East Coast into a giant solar power generator and put in a cable to South East Asia. We could power KL, Singapore and Jakarta, not to mention ourselves. Build batteries instead of substations, no worries.

Next, a high-speed rail line from Brisbane to Melbourne. City to city in 6 hours by 2034. If Japan and China can do this, so can we. Put it down.

Thoughts?

Didn't ScoMo promise millions of charging stations for vibrators as a move towards rejuvenating Australian libido infrastructure?

The posting of photos of Valkie anywhere, except in public toilets frequented by homosexuals, has been banned because images of Valkie have been proven to cause frigidity in women and homosexuality in men and women.

Still suffering from my $48 bill for the summer quarter with full air con day and night sometimes...

I'm ready to contribute to the network... all the dozy bastards have to do is make sure - after the State government here gold-plated it for them with massive upgrades at our cost before 'selling' it to their mates - that it can carry the load.

Their current wail is that too much input could damage the infrastructure - poor widdle fellows - apparently it hasn't done so yet but it 'might' ... just their excuse for putting up their prices while lowering ours.

Nothing but a pack of thieves and liars.

Re-nationalise power, gas and roads!!!  NOW!!

The government couldn't afford to buy it back because they already spent the proceeds.

Would you contribute to a fund to buy back electricity infrastructure?

Yes, but he's a fibber. Even Macron said I don't think, I know.

Valkie will be voting for Pauline as usual. She should try Scomo's vibrator plan. She's not adverse to making promises about hot throbbing cock. I'd say Valkie would go wild.

You?

Unfortunately this govt. seems to be uninclined to spend money on infrastructure. They'd prefer we get desperate and then pay through the nose to big business instead.

Stop complaining. This is a thread for visionaries. How about painting Australia's rooftops white? Or a national urban tree-planting scheme. Turn our cities into forests. Absorb heat and attract the birds.

Think big.

Then they'll be gone. We the voters are ready for it. White recommended a national electric car industry - why not?

Sure, Tesla are setting up in China, but we could get the capital for smaller plants, specially-designed vehicles.

Put it down.

While we're on China, we need to fix the relationship. Let's get Xi over, schmooze him at Kirribilli House like Trump did in Mar a Lago.

Sorry about AUKUS, Mr Xi, but you know how it goes. Talk soft, big stick, all that. Try our delish red wine - it's lucky, no? Look at all our Chows, we're just like you. Australia is a middle-power, half European, half Asian. Half in the past, half in the future. We're 60,000 years old for Christ's sake. This is the Asian century, we know that. We want you on board. Let's have the best century yet.

Public housing - a consistent poller. A ten percent stock for community housing clause  for all new high-rise DAs.

Mix the public with the private and do away with houso slums. Join up with NDIS providers and get disabled people into good, urban housing. Help the homeless.

The voters want it, why aren't we doing it? Put it down.

Well no more. You like rural communities - how about a regional resettlement scheme? Give those on student visas a chance to move onto bridging visas by moving to work in small towns and regional cities.

You'd like better local health services, no? Here's your chance. Support a rural renewal scheme. We'll turn the tide and get new, young Australians back to the regions.

Think big. Stop moaning. Put it down.

Valkie is certainly a 'prime' suspect as a 'beefcake' fancier.

I suspect Valkie's favorite song is "I'm just wild about Harry".

I find this proposal, based on Singapore's 'Housing Development Board'  interesting. It could work.

Do a Fidel Castro and take it back at no cost.... we'd be banned from exporting sugar to the United States for fifty years or more.
