Surcharges are just a recent rort for the business.

Bus Drivers go on Unionised Strike for a pay rise.
People lack buses to get to work on that strike day.
Bus Drivers get their pay rise.
Few months late, commuters pay another increase in fares to pay for those payrises.
...why don't the Bus Drivers ask the commuter directly for an extra 20c per fare? Oh yeah - the Unions want their money too - from the Drivers.

Do you know why the bus drivers go on strike for a pay rise?  Because the cost of bus fares and every other service and cost of living is going up... oh - the toll on their road to get to the depot goes up $1 ... they go for a pay rise to compensate and the fares rise 20c - a good deal for the commuter!!

Wage rises always follow cost of living rises... not the other way around...... those are the facts.... if you disagree, why do you imagine there is an annual gathering of unions and businesses under a government umbrella to sort out the National Wage Case ........ EVERY year a rise is given since costs of living have gone up... the pay rise didn't cause that cost of living to go up .... greed did and it had already gone up.... the workers didn't cause that cost of living to go up... businesses did.

BTW - you're a scab if you take another man's job and livelihood and food from his children's mouths when you are handed a job for NOT being a Union member.  Funny how businesses and turkeys who know nothing demand that Unionism should not be a compulsory requirement for getting a job - yet the same people say that not being a Union member is fine to get a job while a Union member is refused for being a Union member.

Two council toilet cleaners: One a Union Member, the other a Confederate. The Union Member has his head down a toilet looking for an extra 50c. While the Confederate Cleaner is next door in the ladies saying "Hello ladies, how are you today?" to which they all giggle and smile at such a charming man who knows how to clean up.


The biggest crime of Unionism - is making 'workers' believe that they will 'get rich' via the Union, especially get rich off someone else's back (business). The flip side of Unionism is that person who fakes a fall and takes a lawsuit against the business.

The Confederate worker knows these 'jobs' are just jobs and that if they were to become 'rich' - they would do it off their own steam and EARN IT themselves. With that said, they enjoy their workplace and make the most of it for all the right reasons, rather than to extort money and bankrupt businesses.

I'm surprised the Unions haven't tried to exploit Volunteers (social work) to get them more money. Roll Eyes

Which is the more 'orthodox'?
The 'worker' who tries the union short-cut to get rich?
The worker who knows his place and gets heaps of pussy?

You can tell a Union Member and Worker - they're the ones who get taken to court for sexual harrassment as they try to 'scab' a root because they haven't got what it takes to be a 'Working Class Man' who doesn't take financial 'short-cuts'.

But people have the right NOT to be in a union and the right not to be bullied, harrassed, called scabs, etc if they are not.

They are workchoices agreements that have never been terminated.

They display one of the most significant flaws in the dreadful fair work legislation. These agreements should have never been allowed to exist past 2010.

 
Work Choices regulations should require all Employers with registered agreements(EBAs to go through the negotiating processes to implement a new agreement with in a certain timeframe prior to & then after the expiry date of the current agreement.

Failure to do so should result in penalties & every EBA  should require an application for it to be rolled over(made a zombie EBA) every 12 months until renewed.

They should not be able to roll it over for any longer than 2 yrs(twice).

If LABOR get up in the next election ... they have to fix these anomalies of the old Work Choices for good.

They had the opportunity under Rudd & Gillard yet failed to do so.

To me that speaks volumes as to who & what they really represent.
