I have short video edited clips of television broadcast serious topics. 1 clip is about 2 middle aged men whom declared themselves to have been diagnosed by psychiatrists to have persistent Narcissistic behaviours. On performing their scripted lines, both men had failed to describe what behaviours had lead them to be diagnosed as narcissists.
I have a friend whom wouldn’t bother reading my postings even though I asked him to read my postings, so I’m safe to say he’s not going to read this 'not seen in best light' posting.
My friend who I would claim has persistent narcissistic behaviours was during the 1980s married to a women who was a bit demanding, she liked to complain to other people about how unhappy she was, claiming her husband was a “big head”, that several people whom spent time listening to her complaints stated to me that ‘she was boring’. She frequently complained her husband wouldn’t talk to her, he’d watch television, wouldn’t say anything to her, not even during commercials.
My point being why did he marry a women he didn’t desire to talk to? My answer would be he finds little brain chemical stimuli value in talking unless something was believed humorous, something to share a laugh, he finds brain chemical stimuli reward in believing he is smarter than a person(s) in close proximity.
My theory here is that people whom feel more intelligent than other people have had their childhood self-esteem damaged by fear of other children’s perceived dumb negative judgements, whom other children have had their self-esteem damaged by other children perceived dumb negative judgements.
Teacher QandA games of making children compete with each other to answer teacher ‘The Chase Australia’ short asked (no intelligence required) questions to children, keen to play the QandA game in order to drum-up brain chemical rewards, children on discovering the keenness to play the game answers were correct give themselves a quick burst of brain chemical: endorphins; adrenaline; dopamine… whatever stimuli induced, rewarding, strengthening a belief of feeling intelligent. Answers found to be incorrect embarrassment fears lead to denial.
The 2 men mentioned whom had no real information for listeners to hear, merely frustrated QandA gamer people whom were listening, that any serious media providing information programs don’t provide relevant information quick enough for people educated to respond quickly to answer knowledge questions. Television documentaries usually last 1 hour, have several commercial breaks lengthening the programs, further frustrating educated to be quick answers’ audiences.
Many children grown into adults are going to use spouses as emotional support to feel they’re smarter than their spouse, when partners constantly defend their self-beliefs in attempts to prop-up childhood damaged self-esteem, anger can develop having their damaged self-esteem degraded by a partners narcissism, narcissist’s need to prop-up their childhood damaged self-esteem.
Couples desires to constantly laugh, have fun, being seen by others to be an ideal couple, secretly hide deep psychological problems of propping-up dislikes for feeling humiliated for getting teacher QandA questions incorrect.
Frequent serious media discussions about family violence, men striking women, exampling “The Drum” Drink rum, are merely awareness, having absolutely no theories on why family violence persists, examples the no useful information provided by media intentions.
By media’s repeated awareness of serious topics with zero insight to why problems exist, audiences are persuaded no known causes are believed, that such quick self-induced audience judgements block future thought on people like myself from theorising problem issue causes, as educated people once having judged an issue truthful reinforced by self-induce brain chemical stimuli rewards, judgements perceived true are difficult to persuade are false.
Media’s proposed scientific statements about how brains work are often shown as brain images promoting cat scanners etc. technology, fail to discuss how fear and brain chemical stimuli program human behaviours, instead tend to indicate a degree of ignorance, indicating to audiences scientists don’t fully understand human behaviours. Psychiatrists can diagnose extreme behaviours, prescribe a drug to reduce problem issue influences.
A percentage of academically achieving children whom desire to return to face to face learning after Covid-19 lock-downs are obtaining self-stimulating brain chemical rewards (self-medication existing learning traumas) by believing they’re more intelligent than other classroom students delusion, not-verbally sharing beliefs instead using smiles and laughter with friends group thought.
My above mentioned friend has been on a disability pension for at least 26 years, suffering from depression triggered by his separation from his wife in 1990. My conclusion being his delusion of intelligence brain chemical rewards propping-up childhood damaged self-esteem (he declares he believes in the self-esteem movement) couldn’t allow him to feel superior to his wife, grief, quickly asking doctors to prescribe anti depression drugs, upping drug doses over years, eventually seeking a CentreLink pension.
Serious media talks 'awareness of depression', yet has no theories to why mental illnesses are common, hides/represses questioning hours of school education mental stresses as a cause.
