Biden beating the drums
Feb 22nd, 2022 at 11:08am

By Chris Hedges

When all else fails, when you are clueless about how to halt a 7.5% inflation rate, when your Build Back Better bill is gutted, when you renege on your promise to raise the minimum wage or forgive student debt, when you can’t halt the Republican suppression of voting rights, when you have no idea how to handle the pandemic which has claimed 900,000 lives – 16% of the world’s total deaths although we are less than 5% of the world’s population

Warmongering by the Democrats always comes wrapped in the mantle of democracy, freedom and human rights, making Democrats the more effective salespeople for war.

Hedges was an early critic of the Iraq War. In May 2003, he delivered a commencement address at Rockford College in Rockford, Illinois, saying: "We are embarking on an occupation that, if history is any guide, will be as damaging to our souls as it will be to our prestige and power and security."[77] His speech was received with boos, "two students approached the stage to push [him] off the podium" (as he told an interviewer),[78] and his microphone was shut off three minutes after he began speaking.[79] Hedges had to end the commencement speech short because of the various student disruptions.[80] The New York Times, his employer, criticized his statements and issued him a formal reprimand for "public remarks that could undermine public trust in the paper's impartiality".[54]

Stock markets are down:

https://edition.cnn.com/2022/02/21/investing/global-stocks-ukraine-russia/index....

Japan's benchmark Nikkei 225 (N225) fell 2% in morning trading. Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index (HSI) dropped 2.2%, while Korea's Kospi (KOSPI) lost 1.4%. China's Shanghai Composite (SHCOMP) and Australia's S&P/ASX 200 were both down more than 1%.
The plunge in Asia was preceded by a similar drop for US stock futures earlier on Monday evening local time.

Democrats are a spent force and have nothing to offer except a stupid old geezer and a fake Media collaboration.

USA needs a 'new' Party to challenge the more stable Republicans.

Yet the Republicans went into the 2020 election with not a single policy and still have nothing.

The closest the republicans have come to a policy involve Dr Seuss, Mr Potato Head or the green smarties shoes.

Jar Jar - It has to stop hurting so much if you stop shooting yourself in the foot.

Should have asked just what the Republicans have to offer - Undermining US democracy their constitution and more insurrection looks to be about it.

The Republicans are looking to challenge or throw out of the party anyone left who is a genuine republican and not a disciple of Trump and his fascist cult.

Stop taking sides. They're both as bad as each other.

Republicans called Obama a Kenyan.
Trump called Hillary a crook (she probably is)
Hillary called Trump a Russian
Now the USA has equal worst Pres and WORST Vice.

With a bit of luck, neither of the above 4 run in the next election.

In normal circumstances I would partially agree but in this case nobody in the Democrats is looking at insurrection as a preferred solution to people voting, they are not Undermining democracy in any one of a number of ways including preventing people from voting, They are not introducing legislation to allow states to take election counting and result decisions away from independent election officials and placing the decisions with biased political bodies.

No - While neither are too good they are far from the same.

The war in Ukraine - my opinion:

Some Russian tanks have already rolled across the border.
I just wonder if the Ukrainians will even fire at the tanks or will it be a bloodless takeover?
I think it will be like the phoney war after Hitler invaded Poland.
Nothing much happened except in Poland for a long time.

The EU is not united enough to stop Putin and he counts on that –
the weakness of Europe.
Europe is full of pacifists and homosexuals – Putin is not scared of them.

Every time I hear blacks asked about voter ID, they say, do you think us Nword ers are too stupid to get a driver's license?
Voter ID is more about Dems getting illegals to vote.

Insurrection, get a little milk from the cow, but give it a rest.
I also reckon there at some level there were agents provocateurs involved.
Both sides of politics have done that before.

And what does Putin’s war mongering come wrapped in other than deluded patriotism?
Mindless groupthink on both sides will soon remove our species from the planet..
The human race is insane.

A deeper understanding of our problem can be gained from a careful reading of Arthur Koestler’s “The Ghost in The Machine” but I doubt theres time to get through all of it before -      o o o.  o.   o.    o.     o.      o.        o

You didn't hear about all the registrations for mail voting that were rejected several times because the voter had to user the same license number they originally used to register to vote. Silly buggers thought they could use their current drivers license and not the one they had in 1942.
