You'd have to admit that's a better way of posting your game results.

If NYT used a random word, unique for each player (to the extent that it can be unique with limited 5-letter words and millions playing), but that would mean it would rarely be useful knowing someone's individual result.

Currently world wide (from those who share their results):

1% of them solved it on the first shot,
3% on the second,
17% on the third,
33% on the fourth,
29% on the fifth, and
15% on the sixth.

Only 3% of those who failed to solve shared their results.

I'd bet with unique words for each player, those 1 shot and 2 shot 'jags' would drop to near zero.
