The NY Times wordle is not suited to competitive playing as the daily word is the same worldwide, set at 12:00AM local time.

Within a few hours there are hundreds of spoiler websites that reveal the secret word.

Notwithstanding that the entire list of possible words, listed as they will chronologically be used, was released some time ago.

NY Times could improve the situation by generating a random word per player such that is would be much less likely that two players in the same timezone would receive the same word.

I prefer it to be the same word worldwide as that is a fair comparison of solution skills.

However, I never look around prior to attempting it daily and I especially avoid this thread prior because some people give away clues.  Roll Eyes

I'm sorry Captain 👩‍✈️

I'll not post up screenshots again.

Mind you I never look at anything but my own clear screen. Why? The challenge for me is to beat my best. That's it. I compete against myself.

(I mainly complete/compete in Complex Sudoku and Code Cracker puzzle competitions).

Unfortunately Aussie has me hooked on Wordle right now lol.

I just caught this part (the page isn't turning correctly in this topic).

It MUST be random IMO. Why? More transparent/no "cheating".

I don't think you're using NY Times wordle as there is only one word issued per day, so you're not giving away answers for the posters here using the NY Times version.

Oh I did that one first thing this morning. I've got a screenshot of that too. But I'll not post it up. (I don't get what you lot are posting up with these boring grey boxes etc).

Unfortunately puzzles can be addictive. So I can't JUST be expected to solve ONE Wordle puzzle a day as it slowly issues from 1 NYT website.

I now solve 10 Wordle puzzles a day. All are solved within 3 turns and sometimes 2. This was the objective I set for myself : 10 a day : max of 3 turns allowed to solve. Anything else means failure. This way of thinking works for ME. Everyone is different. That's what makes us the same 👌

I'm not having a go at you in particular Lisa but at all those who post clues. It would be better to avoid giving clues IMHO.

If using the New York Times daily Wordle, clicking on "Share" and pasting that should result in the colour chart without letters being posted.

Do the NYT wordle.

Link.

If you solve it, you will see a box appear and the word share is visible.  Hit share.

Then come here and 'share' by hitting 'ctrl' plus 'v.'

Ohhhh. 👌

I'll do that from now on. Thanks Aussie. Apologies for introducing so much chat into this topic. Cheers.
