Rudy said he advised him to go to the FBI. Mac Isaac said he went "twice", remember? He can't provide any details of the first visit.

Emails don't require "recovering", they sit on a server. Remember Hillary?

Mac Isaac would have needed to log into Hunter Biden's email account and download them. But then, why would anyone with hot info on their computer request a data recovery? From a stranger? Why would they ask them to log into their email account, download their most sensitive emails, convert them to PDF copies and then ignore their messages to come and pick it up?

Questions questions, no?

Look, there's only one way to sort this out, Wombat. Tucker needs to release the contents of his flash drive.

Actually there are several options.

1) the email can be downloaded to a local .pst file and deleted from the server.

2) the email can be kept on the mail server and delivered to a local .ost file.

3) Both.

4) The server will likely be backed up.

Emails are often sent with attached files which, for convenience, many users download and store locally.

At any rate, if Mr Isaac broke the law why hasn't he been charged?

Because they know they have no case.

There is an X President who has broken 3,749 laws in the last few years and hasn't been charged, it doesn't seem unusual in the US.

There are many possible reasons.

However you have seen the law and are aware of what Mr Isaac did. Its a bit like Mr Trump being in possession of over 20,000 stolen documents - It is hardly debatable.

The FBI got a search warrant and found the documents at Mar a Lago. If they found the documents at your place you would be in prison today.

The next time you may find yourself free would depend on reincarnation being true.

In fact there is a reasonable chance they would execute you.

Excuse me, Wombat, when did we have to prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt?

A blind computer repairman went through Hunter's emails and found stuff you wouldn't believe - crimes of the most heinous nature imaginable. Why should anyone have to prove that? It's true.

Yes, but Mr Trump said he declassified them. He also said they might have been planted.

That's reasonable, no?

We'll have to wait and see what happens.

They are not stolen documents. Attorney Mike Davis explains:

"The President has the Constitutional power as Commander in Chief to declassify anything he wants for any reason he wants and he doesn't need any bureaucrat's permission. A good example of this is March 2012 when Bill Clinton got caught on the hot-mic with the Russian President divulging our most classified nuclear information..."

Attorney Mike Davis has been the one clear voice who understands the law and the FBI and Deep State overreach in the raid of Mar-a-Lago.

That's a relief, Wombat, so it's legal. Do you want to send Mike Davis' article into the FBI?

They'll be really grateful. Imagine how embarrassed they'd be if they went before a judge and got thrown out of court.

Actually, you might want to do your patriotic duty and cc Merrick Garland in. As the Attorney General and constitutional law expert, he really should know better.

All he has to do is to make the claim that he did in court. He hasn't and he wont. None of the documents were declassified.

Besides even de classified they still remain the property of the government. They were still stolen even if every one was declassified.

Yes it really did take over 2 years for the right to work out that it was a laptop.

Correct.

The 'classified/de-classified' argument is just a red herring from the MAGA cult members.

"All that said, there is an even more fundamental reason why Trump’s claims of declassification are likely to fall short as a legal defense.

"While there are criminal statutes that hinge on classification, they aren’t among the criminal offenses that the FBI included on the search warrant.

"To the contrary, all three of the criminal provisions that the FBI did list can be—and two routinely are—applied to misconduct that has absolutely nothing to do with classified information, making it unclear whether Trump’s claims of declassification would make any difference even if true."

You lot think you know more than an experienced lawyer.

Trump had a standing order that documents removed from the Oval Office and taken into his residence automatically became declassified. A president can do that.

Anyway, this thread is about the laptop from hell. If you want to discuss the FBI raid on Trump start a new thread.
