If war came to America, many Americans would be too pussified with concerns about their gender to be useless as effective soldiers. I am neither a sympathiser to Putin or his war. I was surprised by the outbreak of war in their region. Putin, I thought, was going to be the leader the West wanted to see in Russia. I was wrong.

I am realistic about Russia's ability to turn American cities into blast craters. If Putin was unhinged enough, he could do some serious damage without thought of remorse.

Let us be realistic about Australia's military. We may only have 60,000 personnel in the frontline military. But, if push came to shove, we would have a million soldiers ready in their capacity to fight a war within a year. Given that we have neither a softly, softly culture nor a landscape that leads us to act complacent, I would say Australians could make up some good soldiers.

Maybe naive. "Ignorant", perhaps. It is not like Russia is a constant notable topic for Australians, except in the last 2 months. But, I am not gullible enough to Russia as a weak military threat to the USA. The world needs to put sanctions on Russia for a while. Russia's weakness is their economy. Heck, I bet our resource sectors could do with a boost from exporting what Russia is not allowed to export anymore.
