IF I then start announcing to everyone that I identify as a 21 year old Scandinavian guy with snowy blonde dead straight hair, pale skin and with blue eyes...chances are I'll be taken to a psychiatrist for an immediate assessment.

My point is this : it matters not what you decide to identify as...some things are assigned at birth and they just can't be changed. You may try to by interfering with nature through hair colour and tinted lens and taking hormones but once these artificial mechanisms are left to nature ... you will find that who you are was assigned at birth. Forget changing it. There is a lot of struggle and money etc...just learn to love and accept and embrace the natural you. It matters not if we are born male OR female as there are advantages and disadvantages with both genders. What matters more is that we are HUMAN BEINGS.

Their SEX might be obvious, but their GENDER is a variable, as it has always been.

Gender is a grammatical term. There are no more than three grammatical genders, two of which signify Male or female sex (he, she), the third signifying the absence of sex (it). So gender corresponds to sex or in the third case, signifies the absence of sex. There are no more genders.

A man who wants to be a woman does not become a woman, nor does a woman become a man by wishing it, by taking hormones, cutting off bits, surgically adding others.

And sex is not 'assigned' at birth, unless you are a believer in a personal God who made you as you are at birth. 'Assigned' is in the passive voice, the assignor needs to acknowledged. If you do not believe in a personal God who made you, then who else 'assigned' you to be generically as you are - man, woman, tall, short, blonde, dark etc?

There is an awful lot of violence done to language ( and bodies) in debates around sexual aberrations in the LGBTIQTIP-etc alphabet soup, illustrated immediately by ever lengthening list of aberrations that go into the acronym itself and the growing number of possible gender pronouns.
