What MeisterEckhart fails to say that the situation probably was that if the Australian retail value of the phones was say $200, MeisterEckhart's mate sold them to his friends for $100 and he probably paid $20 per phone. He stood to make 400% gross profit.

The moral of the story is if the deal looks too good to be true it probably is.

And also depending on uses.

For example, recently I had to replace a specialised battery in my Otoscope. The offical replacement is a made in Japan battery that would have cost me nearly 3 times as much as an after market one made in China. So I gave it a gamble, and its working fine. Cool
