Texas response to Bidens open border

Quote:
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says he'll bus thousands of migrants to Washington D.C. and check all vehicles at the border to stop cartels as he declares war on Biden's 'open border' policies

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott says he will be be bussing thousands of illegal migrants who cross the border straight to Washington DC and leaving them on the steps of the US Capitol for President Biden to deal with.

Announcing the new plan at a press conference Wednesday, the GOP governor said: 'To help local officials whose communities are being overwhelmed by hordes of illegal immigrants who are being dropped off by the Biden administration, Texas is providing charter buses to send these illegal immigrants who’ve been dropped off by the Biden administration to Washington DC.

'We are sending them to the US capital where the Biden admin will be more immediately able to address the needs of the people who come across our border.'

He should send busloads to Beverly Hills and Marthas Vineyard as well.

I wonder if he will tell the people of Texas how much this is going to cost them?

Is he going to offer to send volunteers where they want to go at the expense of his taxpayers?

He does not have the authority to force anyone to get on a bus so they would be volunteers.

I'm all for it, why not let the refugees go where they want to go?

Very generous but I imagine the people of Texas may have some reservations about the cost.

Probably cost less to bus them - they are illegals and have no rights so busing them is no problem - than to allow the impact on the local economy.... Texans would be happy to see the end of them.... it's only 100 years or so that Texas Rangers shot anyone trying to sneak across the border.... the memory must linger.... the guy contracted to hunt down Bonny and Clyde (Texans) was supposed to have killed over 300 men, most of them Mexicans trying to sneak across the border.

The Good Old Days....

No they mostly present at the border and apply legally for refugee status.

Actually this is not true, they do in fact have rights when they are registered. If Abbott wants to forcibly do anything he would need to change the federal laws.

In legal terms this would be the same as going to anyone's home and forcibly putting the residents on a bus to somewhere. No its not something that can legally be done.

They can ask if they would like a bus ride, that's ok.

It is bullsh1t. Laws would be broken including human trafficking.

No it sounds good to me as well.

These people are not forced to go - they are given the option to go if they would like to. I have no problem with this at all.

Abbott has confirmed that this is the case - that it is voluntary.

Thanks to the empathetic goons and thugs that helped them make their choice.

What is proposed is still illegal and it won't happen.

That's what Nazi war criminals said in the 1940s.
