I think it's too violent especially when they hit

Fights are violent. If you don't want violence don't watch any fights. Watch  play school instead.

John Smith watches violent MMA fights.

Bobby watches half-naked men get bashed in the ring.

He also watches boxing.

Notice he never watches the women fighting  Cheesy Cheesy

On 5 June this year, 24-year-old boxer Simiso Buthelezi began punching
aimlessly in a different direction after Siphesihle Mntungwa was knocked
into the ropes by Buthelezi. The referee stopped the fight, and Buthelezi
was transported to hospital where a brain bleed was discovered. He was
placed into a medically-induced coma from which he never woke up, as
he died two days later.

What do people who condone licensed murder think of this?  Would they
be at all upset if that kid had been their son, or just say "yeah, well... these
things happen you know"?

Boxing is a brutal sport and I am surprised that it's legal.
If an opponent is killed the boxer who did it can't be charged with anything.

Real men don't watch boxing at all, in any way, shape or form.  They don't
need to reinforce their own psychological insecurities by watching semi-nude
men beat each other up in a lather of passion.

Do these two "men" look like homosexuals?

I dunno. As an over 50, I had to knock a bigger 20'something around a bit because he thought he was as smart as a computer and needed the information punched into him.

Two very good clips with a great commentary dissection of the fight. Who said Boxers who are copping knocks to their heads can't think on their feet?

One of my brothers used to do kickboxing.
I would have far preferred he had not done that.
He also runs, which I far prefer.

You have a very valid point and I will not belittle you for it at all.

I hadn't seen these interviews with Ali before.
He was funny, cheeky, entertaining but could also be serious.

However by 1980 you could see he was slurring his words
and he should never have been allowed to fight Larry Holmes -
