Dunno if this is a true home remedy. I have found taking aspirin BEFORE I get in the sun works as well.

I was a delivery driver for a few years in my late teens. All kinds of weather would take its toll on me. But, during the wet season, it was not uncommon for me to get the occasional soaking in my socks. After a while, it would not matter how much I scrubbed my feet with soap and water, the feet were always somewhat fungal.

It took until I was 30 years old and trying to look presentable from head to toe. Someone suggested putting Vicks Vaporub on my feet (especially around the toes). I tried it for a week. After a few days, the toenails started to darken a bit. Then I had to clip away at the toenails. I learned to clip away at the toenails before applying the Vicks. Over a couple of months, the toenails looked clean and healthy. I no longer had the stink of fungal infections when I took my socks off.

If it is the summer (or late spring or early autumn), I just apply ice cubes to the sunburn. That is after having a 10 minute cold shower to lessen the burns. The ointment is applied over the main areas.
