Dear God 🤢🤮

I knew a long time ago there was something not right with Maccas. I just could not keep anything they cooked down. Except for their potato flap jacks 👈 that’s what the kids call them lol. They were nice. That’s about it.

One christmas in the Riverland here, couple years before Mum died, had to stay in a caravan park. Christmas Day with the family there, boxing day NOTHING open, was even thinking of driving to Blanchetown to buy food but, filling up with petrol I saw Hungry Jacks and Maccas were open. Bought two cheeseburgers and a green salad.

My god! The burgers were the size of a fifty cent piece, well,
little
bit bigger than that. Salad was like the stem bits of an iceberg lettuce.

I laughed, ate the crap because I was hungry, have not been back since.

I can't eat their hamburger crap - it makes me sick too.
However - their french fries are nice.

'Prior to 2011, McDonald's USA, like many other food retailers, used this product deemed safe by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and effective at curbing bacterial growth by the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)',

Never used in Oz says Macca.

And all their shops are rigorously cleaned.

How do I know if my diesel engine is healthy?
The following are 12 signs of a bad diesel engine:
Oil Sludge. One of the telltale signs of an engine issue is the accumulation of oil sludge on the dipstick or fill cap. ...
Metal Shavings. ...
Increased Oil or Coolant Consumption. ...
Excessive Exhaust. ...
Knocking Sounds. ...
Diarrhea..
Spitting chips..

They’re ok as in they’re edible.

The better chips are made by Red Rooster I reckon.

Red Rooster freshly made chips have a decent amount of potato in them and they’re not as greasy as Maccas. Or KFC. IF the kids want chips on the go I’ll only buy them chips from Red Rooster.

Yes, I agree; nothing beats home-made chips.

I deep fry mine in sunflower oil.    Smiley

McDonald's "Famous" French Fries (which are actually
Belgian, but the stupid American GIs thought because
most Belgians spoke French they mistook them for French
nationals... duh).

So...

Ingredients: Potatoes, vegetable oil (canola oil, corn
oil, soybean oil), hydrogenated soybean oil, natural
beef flavour* [wheat and milk derivatives], dextrose,
sodium acid pyrophosphate (maintain colour), salt.
*natural beef flavour contains hydrolysed wheat and
hydrolysed milk as starting ingredients.

—Hydrogenation is a process where manufacturers
add hydrogen to a liquid fat, such as vegetable oil, to
turn it into a solid fat at room temperature.

—Hydrolysed wheat is used in body lotions and shampoos.

—Sodium acid pyrophosphate should be avoided by
   persons with kidney disease.

The smug stupidity of the reflex 'Americans are dumb' derangement brigade.

Thomas Jefferson had "potatoes served in the French manner" at a White House dinner in 1802. The expression "french fried potatoes" first occurred in print in English in the 1856 work Cookery for Maids of All Work by E. Warren: "French Fried Potatoes.
