Yes - I often get the chips as a snack if I'm hungry on me way home from town or something.  Same with HJs - like their chips - but all chips need to be hot or they are oily and horrible...  I do my shoestrings in an air fryer at home - slightly overdone and crunchy, thanks..... grit them small bones between my teeth.....

I rarely eat the burgers and always with trepidation..... mavbe I should get a hound and try the dog test ...  my Labrador once turned his nose up at a pub pie I bought him for lunch.... hmmmmmm ...

It's closing time again
I know you're leaving...
You've got that
Faraway look in your eyes...
It's time to lock the doors
And wipe the counter,
And wipe the stewer
Off tomorrow's pies....

What will we do without Billy Connelly?  Stewer is that kind of greasy, damp shellgrit that collects on the top of pies as they get old.... just reheat and nobody will notice after five or six Tennent's .... mavbe a small uisge or two.... dulls the taste .....

I said that I would not buy McDonalds again. But, I went through the drive-thru one more time, the other night. Why does it take 15 minutes to get a meal at the drive-thru? Angus burger, fries and drink. But the truck in front of me takes forever to order (or be able to order). Then I have to wait 5 minutes for my turn at the speaker box. Order taker finally speaks "I just need a minute". He was not joking, either. A minute later he takes my order, and we get through in about 20 seconds. I go to pay and there is some kind of shift change where some older girl is taking the payment from me. I move ahead only to stop behind the truck that is waiting at the second window. I wind up my driver-side window to save on airconditioning, and get into park and handbrake on. 5... f'n.... minutes.... later.... Truck in front of me finally get their food order. They then restart their truck and wait another (reasonable) minute for their drinks. Then they go. I go to the second window, roll down the window, and wait. It is another 2 minutes before they come to the window with my order. The same girl (or her identical twin sister) serves me the food. Takes another minute with my drink. I say "thank you" and leave (for good).

I am 45 years old. I have been eating McDonalds since I was 13 years old. I would go there after school or after university for a quick feed. I would even get the false accusations by teachers that we snuck out of school to get our lunches there. But there is no way that service there is that bad that you cannot have cars waiting more than 2 minutes a turn in the drive-thru. I am getting too old to be eating there. McDonalds has not beaten KFC's 70-minute wait time to be served. But, I won't be witness to any more delays.

oh rocky

you are giving up junk food because they cant get their addictive blend of fat sugar and salt into your mouth quickly enough Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

thats like saying a druggie is going to rehab to deal with the trauma of his dealer not being at his beck and call .

thats f'ed up

you give up maccas because you dont want to spend the last 20 years of your life with a stroke in a wheelchair with diabetes, going to hospital to have your toes chopped off, going blind and having dialysis.

all very expensive to the taxpayer and very miserable for you.

now, off to the grocer, buy that cucumber and carrot and some smoked herring paste and sit in maccas and eat it up, thinking about how you are on the path of the superior man

let that feeling of awesomeness penetrate your body as you look on at the chodes(chowing down on the sugar and fat) running (waddling)  like lemmings over the cliff

I have been to Maccas 6 times in the last 3 weeks. I usually don't go to Maccas any more than once a month. But that is normally the result of me preferring to go to Red Rooster and buying a half combo with peas and gravy, before I get into my binge drinking.

Being in the fast food and then restaurant industry for the last 27 years of my life, quality of service is important to a customer. You could have ordered a pizza and had it made and served inside the time it took waiting in the drive-thru area of McDonalds.

From 13 years to 18 years of age, the meal is a kind of thing for that age range. Adulthood, the fast food becomes an emergency feed. By the time I was 36, I had shunned all the fast food outlets in my attempt to lose weight. I don't think I had a meal at McDonalds for about 2 years. But my teenage daughter started working there and I felt it necessary to sneak some visits to her at the drive thru. With her graduating university, there is no further motivation to go there.
