Pope: NATO Barking At Russia's door caused war
May 4th, 2022 at 7:23pm

Ukrainians are expendable. Throw another Ukrainian on the barbie Bruce.

NATO is a paper tiger but it does make a lot of noise.

"Pope Francis on Wednesday said that NATO's 'barking' at Russia’s door might have resulted in President Vladimir Putin launching a military offensive in Ukraine."

It certainly appeared that the US and NATO were provoking and goading Russia possibly with the intention of weakening Russia's military with an unwinnable war.

The world is a stage and the people just players.

Pope Francis on Wednesday said that NATO's 'barking' at Russia’s door might have resulted in President Vladimir Putin launching a military offensive in Ukraine. The pontiff stated that he does not think Russia's anger was 'provoked,' adding that it might have however been "facilitated" by the West's approach to initiating the invasion of Ukraine. In his interview with Corriere Della Sera, Pope Francis offered to visit Moscow to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin to bring peace between the two warring nations.

Please don't thank me. Effusive fawning and obeisance of disciples, mendicants, and foot-kissers embarrass me.

Their bite is worse than their bark.. trust me on this...

What rubbish - it is the right of any sovereign nation to enter into a defence pact with others of its choosing.. it is distinctly NOT the right of any bordering nation to suggest that is an act of war against it.... same applies to China's ridiculous comments about Australia buying nuclear power submarines when when China has a heap of them and they are armed with nuclear missiles.

If Australia enters into a defence agreement with someone else, does that somehow endanger Nu Zulland?

Like Blacks and Gays here in Australia - the Russians need no help in bashing themselves up... as in weakening themselves with a silly war they cannot win.

Stoopid is as stoopid does ......

30 years after the end of the Cold War
no country in Europe should have enough military power to
invade any other country - that includes Russia.
The size of armies and weapon systems should have been
reduced by 10% every year -
till there was hardly any military left.

This is all about the failure of diplomacy and human mistrust.

Never heard one of our p-p-p-poiticians state it so clearly and simply.... too busy chasing the staff around the tables in Cambra ...

The Roman Catholic Pope offering to have chat with a Russian head of state who makes grandiose displays of being an ardent and practising Russian Orthodox believer?

How's Patriarch Kirill taking this?

Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople has soiled himself, since he recognised the Ukrainian Orthodox church, so he's on the bench.

Monty Python's Arthur and the black prince's face-off comes to mind.

The question is, who's the Arthur? Frank or Kirill?
