You are not one to understand the psychology of culture, are you, walker? If the spearing in the leg was conducted by someone who is aboriginal, there would still be a riot erupting among the indigenous youths as well as the adults who think that they have special rights over other Australians. There is also the legality issue where grievous bodily harm would lead to charges against the perpetrator. And this form of punishment would be seen by many in the indigenous community as condescending and cultural appropriation in order to have misguided ideas that such a punishment would placate their ethnicity. The punishment would piss the indigenous people off even more. Rockhampton would be in lockdown with roving gangs of indigenous going after anyone who was not indigenous.

I have run out of ideas, i don't know what we can do with these stone age peoples suddenly thrust into civilisation, they have had 250yrs to adjust but it seems to be having a negative effect, its probably going to take a couple of thousand years.

If thousands of indigenous people can behave themselves and be productive in my town, there is no reason why the rest of them cannot raise their standards and become productive citizens.

One thing that would work wonders is to treat indigenous people the same as for non-indigenous Australians. No special handouts. No milder sentences for criminal convictions based on being indigenous. No using your race as a reason to explain your own failures. When people stop listening to indigenous people because people do not respect the indigenous troublemakers, there will be a slow but positive change to indigenous communities.

Whether it is African families or indigenous families, you will find that you would not want to be surrounded by them in your neighbourhood. The cops have finally acted.
Of course they couldn't say that they were African gangs
but the blurred out pictures on Channel 7 news confirmed it.

The police are trying their best.

I've got an idea that could stop the crimes -
collective punishment -

make it a new law -
if any teenager or member of an African family commits
an horrendous crime then their
whole family should be stripped of their citizenship and sent back to Africa.

The same could apply to Lebanese gangs -
send their whole family back to Lebanon. etc

We need to cleanse society of the criminal rubbish.
