Would that frail 92 yr old aunt happen to be named Jovial Monk by any chance? Asking for a friend.

Why are we not hearing anything about this?

Monkeypox (MPX) health alert

"We are monitoring the unfolding situation in Australia concerning MPX. It has been declared a Communicable Disease Incident of National Significance in Australia. We will update this alert with the latest medical advice, official reports and case numbers."

Quote:
As of 18 October 2022:

There are 140 cases (confirmed and probable) of MPX in Australia, reflecting cases which have been diagnosed in Australia and reported to the National Notifiable Diseases Surveillance System (NNDSS) by states and territories.

This includes 69 in Victoria, 54 in New South Wales, 7 in Western Australia, 5 in Queensland, 3 in the Australian Capital Territory, and 2 in South Australia.

Wonder how much longer our governments can keep up the "nothing to see here" charade with Monkeypox like they're currently doing with COVID-19?

The whole 'monkeypox' story has been irresponsibly overstated by the World Health Organisation in panic proportions, on the heels of COVID19.

Several HUNDRED (and declining in number) out of an 8 BILLION world population is not a 'pandemic'

Quote:
Global monkeypox cases drop 22%

Sep 22, 2022

Steady drops in new monkeypox cases continue in North America and Europe, resulting in a 22% overall decline in cases reported in the last week, according to a new situation report from the World Health Organization (WHO).

https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2022/09/global-monkeypox-cases-drop-...

The OTHER
giant FU
CK UP
by the WHO was implying this to be some sort "gay sex" disease.
Monkeypox - like herpes - can be caught equally by any kind of sex, where open lesions are present in "those" areas.

The ONLY reasons the WHO had for putting sexuality on the table, is that gay guys score more often than their heterosexual cousins.

But this was NOT the way the story was told

Anyone heard anything about Monkeypox lately?

Or Ebola?

Funny about that - it's almost as if both have just 'magically' disappeared all of a sudden (at least from the media).

Reminds me of the MAD Magazine send up of the classic 60's TV show Lost In Space (Loused Up In Space).

Here's the last 2 pages of it.

"Never mind about the ants! What about the comets?"

"Oh... they're gone!"

"Gone? Just like that?"

"Well - easy come, easy go!"

Roll Eyes

(Bet our governments wish they could do the same with Covid right now)

Oh - the comets spelling out "CERTAIN DEATH" "Gee, that must have taken years of rehearsing!" Grin Grin Grin

Uh-oh!

Potential case of deadly Ebola being investigated by UK health officials after hospital clinic ‘locked down’

Quote:
A POSSIBLE case of Ebola is being investigated by health officials in the UK.

An area of Colchester Hospital in Essex was closed overnight so staff could deal with an "infection control issue".

The patient is understood to have raised concerns after developing viral symptoms and revealing their recent travel history.

Uganda is currently in the grip of an Ebola outbreak which has caused 141 cases and 55 deaths since September 20.

Well, since we're now expected to live with "mild" Covid and "mild" Monkeypox how about a bit of "mild" Ebola to go with all that?

Not obsessed.

Personally, I don't really care because I'm sure we're going the make the exact same mistakes with Ebola as we've done with Covid and Monkeypox. I wouldn't be surprised if Ebola is already on it's way to the four corners of the globe thanks to the airlines with their flying petri tubes.

Oh, and I don't need a chill pill - it's 12 degrees and raining here in Perth right now (8:25am).

You can fix the problem for yourself.
As I've said, nothing stopping you living the locked down life, keeping distance and wearing your mask.
It helps others keep away from you as well.

I'm sure by me doing that it will help immensely with something like Ebola which has something like a 25 to 90 percent fatality rate.
