What's that, then?
This technique is called “snowball” because the sample group grows like a rolling snowball. Non-probability sampling means that researchers, or other participants, choose the sample as opposed to randomly selecting it, so not all members of the population have an equal chance of being selected for the study.
That there is a high rate of self harm and suicide among those who ARE supported and accepted is not addressed or compared.
In any case, it doesn't address intervention in puberty, suicide and self-harm in puberty, the irreversible damage of medical intervention in puberty, the high rate of kids growing out of gender dysphoria, etc, etc. The child abuse scandal aspect, in other words.
