Meanwhile on Russian state TV: annoyed by Trump reportedly promising to destroy the Russian Federation and Putin's hegemony, state TV host Olga Skabeeva said that Russia "will have to think whether to re-install him again as the American president. We haven't decided yet."

Depends on your perspective, I guess.

From the point of British historical perspective, the first seditious president was George Washington.

From the white trash of southern America's perspective, the first seditious president was Abraham Lincoln.

The entire American revolutionary movement of the 18th century was at least partly predicated on false grievances against George III and the bruising of egos meted out to the likes of Washington, Jefferson and Franklin by the British Parliament.

Couple that with the American subconscious obsession with Martin Luther and Cromwell characters, and it's not surprising that a Trump-figure ultimately appeared to trash the enlightenment ideals of the founding fathers' better angels.

Americans have only themselves to blame for Trump.

Now we have to see if they've learnt from their mistake.

With the possibility of criminal charges against him looking more and more likely every day, he'll definitely want to get back into the White House.

If he does run again in 2024, will Americans be stupid enough to vote for him?

I suppose the good thing to remember is, he lost the popular vote by millions at both elections so it's not as if most Americans are stupid enough to support him.

I wouldn't put money on it.

American subconscious obsession with Martin Luther and Oliver Cromwell characters is blood-and-bone deep, particularly in the south.

I think they should. It's good for democracy to have Mr Trump back in the White House, doing great things for us all.

Just kiss them. Grab them by the pussy. When you're a star, they let you do anything.

And nobody's been tougher on Putin, believe me.

I can only assume you're writing this with your tongue firmly planted
in your cheek.

In actuality, Trump was the worst, most disliked, most incompetent,
most intellectually challenged of any of America's presidents.  He came
very close to bringing the country to its knees, and alienating most other
Western country's governments.

But then again, what could you expect from a racist real estate salesman,
failed games show host, multiple bankrupt, and draft dodger?

Not that I disagree with you, but are you a scholar on the legacy of US presidents?

How do you think he ranks against the the likes of, say, Nixon or Andrew Johnson?

I know, but it's all good.

This time, Mr Trump plans to do the right thing. He's learned from his mistakes, you see. This time, Mr Trump wants to be nice.

Why can't the leftards just accept that? Why do they have to be so negative all the time?

Far, far worse than Nixon, and around the same as Johnson.
