I have no issues with transgender persons—live and let live—but when
it comes to sport, there must be constraints put in place for the sake of
fairness, particularly in a contact game like AFLW football. Hannah has
had 21 years-worth of testosterone-building muscle and skeletal mass.

That can't disappear overnight—in fact it'll never disappear. And in sport
body mass, height and musculature are critical performance factors.

You start growing according to your gender from the time your conceived.

Your bone & muscle mass increase right up until puberty .... then your get a huge dose of hormones.

Mouncey is now 33 yrs old.... been 6ft 2 since he was 18/19.

He's had his whole life building his frame.

And if he doesn't have a head problem to not realise how ridiculous it is him playing against those smaller women well there's no fixing that.

I see this as an area where more needs to be known and done but not a justification to denigrate the Trans community - just an excuse for doing so.

Sport is a different question, The typical Transsexual is not competitive in sport. It is a convenient angle of attack which does need to be addresses better than is currently the case.

That's why they're smashing records, skulls, and winning everything. Why can't they have their own catagory? Males can compete with males. Females can compete with females. Blokes that dress like women can compete against other blokes that dress like women.

You asked 'Is Bethany Hamilton transphobic?' Knowing her would clearly assist. Based on the stories it is not possible to answer this. Based on the knowledge we have it is maybe - maybe not - who knows.

I see no such desire from the trans community. I do see that there seem to be cases of unfairness, I suspect that even the trans community would like to see anomalies related to advantage in sport to be corrected.

Even within woman's sport it is normal for woman with naturally high testosterone levels to have a significant advantage. That can be women who are born more like men. This associates with Woman's sport being typically made up to a higher than the community average percentage of same sex preferring women.

That is women with high testosterone being more like males more competitive and preferring other women for sexual partners.
