Lets examine the tragic fate of Libya.

Under the thumb a demented, if flamboyantly dressed dictator for decades.

All the defenders of the Qaddafi tyranny were basically saying Libyans are so divided, so ethnically mad, so uncivilised they needed a dictator to keep the place out of anarchy.

And it seems they may be right?

Our culture is our fate.
