The tests that they did on Jews was to see how long they could live without oxygen, or work without adequate food, or shelter, or medical care. The Nazis only had to refer to their census data to collect this information. Whatever tests other people did, I would not know.

You do not need to be of a particular race to be a Jew. You just need to be part of their religion. And I know that being Jewish is not just a matter of conversion. You have to study. So, that is a couple ways to find out if someone is Jewish. Numpty.
