Do I think it will be a permanent state of societies for all time? Almost certainly not. Morality on sexual matters swings between proscription and permissiveness.

We are in a cycle of permissive morality (in western liberal societies only - i.e. a small minority of the world's population), without any guarantee that this permissiveness is set in stone.
