How about a question about the recognition of the rape, murder and eating of Aborigine children?

There it is.

Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere'

Didn't mean common prosperity, of course.

Nor does Chinese well-being mean well-being of Cambodians at the Chinese enclave in Cambodia. So well-being doesn't mean well-being does it, oh Great Divider?

(and that's at least 2 topics you de-railed for your own well-being).

Yes, part of 'truth telling', I suppose....on the way to closing the gap in the 21st century.

Here's a pertinent comment from a historian (as opposed to a hysterian):-

"Last note and probably most important note- History happened. This sudden desire to find African people in European history and credit them for far more than they contributed coincided nicely with the rise of progressive thought. History happened as it happened and it is important to know. We cannot rewrite reality to fit a modern political narrative. Doing that moves you across a line that Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, and Hitler lived across. History is what it is.

There is no Afrocentric history, no Eurocentric history. No historian worth anything would subscribe to either ideology. There is only HUMAN history, the history of us, of mankind. Within that broad context is African history, European history, Asian history, and so on.

This desire to find and over-credit sub-Saharan Africans in history has stayed well past its welcome. All of our cultures have history."

Parallels.. parallels ....

I will make the same comment to this I did to Boris, who ignored it.:

"So Senator Mbalawunga of the Notorigana tribal group.... is it it true that prior to the Appin Massacre, the local Aborigines killed sixteen or more white people, thus causing an expedition to be mounted against them?"

"Nah - that's just the wharte man saying that.... we done nuffin'..."

"So how did those sixteen or more white men, women and children die?"

"The wharte man done it to make us look bad...."

No,  the truth is the Brits invaded black Oz...and then it was on for old and young alike ...though the blacks had spears and the whites had guns...no contest.

(Read what happened to the black population in what is now Melbourne). Disease, land confiscation, Batman's misunderstood land deeds etc)

Just a continuation of their ancient tribal thing of whoever managed to grab and hold a piece of territory claimed it as their own... the English just happened to be stronger and better at it, so the Abos lost.

That's all there is to it.  There are many reports of tribes wiping out other tribes and taking their land - so they've got nothing to complain about someone else coming along and taking it again.

"It's politically correct nowadays to think of the Aboriginal peoples as a peace loving race who were living in harmony with the land prior to the European invasion. However, there is plenty of evidence

to show that before European settlement, tribal warfare was endemic among the aboriginal peoples, and "payback" killings were a common cause of death. There was also a high incidence of violence against women and children, both domestic and inter-tribal in nature.

With that said, you will find it hard to uncover any detailed information on large scale open warfare for two reasons. There was no written history pre-European settlement; and more importantly, as the Aborigines were hunter-gather peoples, and not farmers, they didn't have the resources to sustain ongoing wars. In fact, this was one of their major undoings during the Frontier Wars
with the British. Compare that to the Maori of New Zealand (who were farmers), and managed a sustained campaign against occupation, finally resulting in a treaty

- something the Aborigines of Australia never achieved.

It's worth noting though, that the current travails of the Aborigine people are not simply to do with their violent past, but is in large part due to their disenfranchisement from mainstream society, and poor access to education and services that most other Australians take for granted."

https://www.quora.com/What-is-the-history-of-inter-tribal-warfare-in-pre-1788-Au...

Quoted in full - unlike certain others here who lie by omission and on a regular basis.

It's a bit like the Zulus complaining that the British invaded them when the Zulus had spent decades running around and killing thousands of other tribes people, taking their stock and lands, and causing total mayhem in their region.

If you can't take it - don't give it.... that's the history of bullies.

Even today the Aborigines attack and sometimes kill one another, fight one another - and all on account of their group affiliation, and far too often those who run the show in groups are the Silverbacks with the biggest fists and opportunity to stand over the others with violence and threats of violence.  In this modern time, this power is often increased by the control over drugs and such into and around the community... it is nothing to see young girls traded for the night to the Silverback in return for some ice etc.

Ask any Aboriginal woman........ and ask them why hundreds of young Aboriginal women disappear every year.

Agree, but  we are still faced with closing the gap, after all the truth telling.

..and I don't you will appreciate Price's comment we are all responsible for ending the black on black violence in the communities.
