What's the racial background of the 23,858 who move in?

Does that effect the answer, Gordy?

Obviously if the 23,858 people who move in are muslims or Africans, it will create a large amount of white flight so way more than 31,726 will move out.

Grade 6 maths too tough for you?

Year 9, I think.

It is here in Pakistan, anyway.

Well no wonder we're all lost! This is supposed to be year 12!

Are any of us qualified?

So if Muslims are not a race, why are people who raise concerns about the behaviour of some called 'racist'?

Spin doctoring or just the usual confusion of the 'woke', who are, in reality, sound asleep on the job.

BTW - that guy I mentioned who was on an internet curfew - he's a Musso and a drug lord and a gangster.... just saying....

**pulls up rock to fireside....

"It's funny ya know... I've known two people who carried on like that Lunatic Lefty did here....... one of 'em was, believe it or not, a serving cop who was clearly on drugs etc and was on the short list for the short drop out the door ... especially once I was finished with him..................the other one was a dead set drug user of Ice and whatever - speed etc .. on his way to a prison.... mad as a cut snake... off the planet and sooooooo reminiscent of Lefty..... I wonder if he's the same guy?  Time in the Joint didn't seem to affect him much if he is.... but so similar.....

Anyway - stay away from that sh1t, people..... g'night....."

WTF? It's basic maths.

And you like to pretend you qualified for MENSA

maybe you meant you qualified for a MENTAL institution?

Is it:

a) 55,584

b)  7,868

c)  Something else

Please tell us how you arrived at your answer.

It all depends on how you interpret this screen shot.
Where is the original link to that?

Perfectly reasonable questions raised - if you do not carefully delineate the parameters of your question, you cannot get an answer.

Let's try it for Mental Asylum Smith - you start with "Leaving all other factors aside ....."

Clearly whoever posed this question is a product of the modern schooling system - the one intended not to educate but to indoctrinate and sow confusion.  Clearly those running that show have lost the plot - as much as silly little you, Johnny.... now toddle off... adults are speaking...

Say 10,000 were there before we started the exercise.

10,000 plus 23858 minus 31726 = 2132 is the population loss after the exercise.

So 10,000 minus 2132 = 7868.

Look out, lads - there's three of 'em!  Are they acting in concert or just a random accumulation of hostility and lack of understanding coupled with personal vitriol desperately trying to get out and become relevant??

Not you, Aussie......

So 10,000 minus 2132 = 7868.

Why imagine an initial population at all?

If there were exactly 31726 people in the city, all of whom left, and 23,858 arrived, the total loss would still be 7868 - sort of like a Stalinist purge to remove all Tatars from a Crimean city replacing them with fewer Russians than the original Tatar population!

Did this happen in the Northern Hemisphere or the Southern?

Were seasonal variations factored?
