There never was a policy of 'defend West'. They even invited Russia to join NATO for one dreamy moment. Oz is against the yellow peril which ruined the gold fields in Victoria in the 1850s. Oz is South not West.

And the West is a cultural term, not a geographic one. But you know that yet try to fudge it. Why?
the key word is assimilation, not race. Cultural assimilation. There has to be a clear cultural shared ground or it all goes to shite.
What IS that shared cultural core to which every immigrant to the West must assimilate to? Yes, must assimilate to - otherwise it is not a shared core, is it?
And on top of that, there is a NATIONAL core to assimilate to.
