In May 2017, it was announced that Newton-John's breast cancer had returned and metastasized to her lower back. Her back pains had initially been misdiagnosed as sciatica.

On 8 August 2022, Newton-John died from breast cancer at her home in California, aged 73.

Poor Olivia. She fought back real hard. Unfortunately you never win with breast cancer.

She had one of the best female voices in the music industry. And she was such a beautiful Australian.

RIP Olivia 🌹

Let's get back to remembering this amazing Australian icon.

Why? Are you a Judith Durham sympathizer and support this kind of behavior? Judith Durham is not seeking to alleviate the plight of poor women but rather to mock them with capitalist imperialist aggression and that god damn song is aggressive towards poor women.

It was not one of her best songs for me but it wasn't out of line in the early 60's. She didn't write the song it was written as the title track for the movie "Georgie Girl" by Jim Dale and Tom Springfield where the lyrics in perspective are reasonable.

She had a wonderful voice and the seekers were Australia's first international success as a music group.
