You may be able to turn 3 reasonable shots to good shots but if you miss the put it makes no difference to your score. At the same time you can likely turn 10 bad shots into ok shots and improve your score dramatically.

I couldn't use the woods -
they would either slice or hook the shots so
I ended up using a 3 iron off the tee for all shots.
That's what made me a HCP of 26.
Yes - I tried some coaching but it didn't help so I gave up.
