Correct.

The "declassified" nonsense is just a diversion.

Declassified or not, he broke the law.

Only allegedly, Greggery. If it was so bad, why is Mr Trump allowed out on day release?

I'm sure Rudy will get this sorted out in court.

Oh, wait a minute ...

"Donald Trump’s former attorney Rudy Giuliani is a target of the criminal investigation in Georgia that has been examining efforts to overturn the results of the 2020 election in that state by the former president and his allies, a source briefed on the matter confirmed on Monday.

"The move to designate Giuliani, 78, as a target – as opposed to a subject – raises the legal stakes for the ex-New York mayor, identified as a key figure in the attempt to reverse the former president’s electoral defeat to Joe Biden in the state."

Is there an indictment just around the corner?

The notice that Giuliani was now a target of the Georgia investigation came on Monday from the office of Fulton county district attorney Fani Willis, the source said. Being identified as a target means only that a person may be a defendant in the event of an indictment.

Trump Lawyer Rudy Giuliani Confirmed as ‘Target’ of Georgia Investigation, ‘Is Now on Notice’ That He’s in Danger of Indictment

“Rudy is now on notice that the DA is examining the likelihood of bringing an indictment against him,” he said. “This notice allows Rudy to take that into consideration before his scheduled testimony, and to potentially invoke his Fifth Amendment rights as a result to protect himself. Being a target does not mean you will be indicted but it means it is highly likely.”

Be careful where you "tuck your shirt in" in prison, Rudy   Grin

Hard to say, Matty. I hardly think you'd be declassifying Melania's unmentionables, dear.

I doubt you'd go declassifying anything remotely embarrassing either. Why else would you go to all the trouble of carting home 50 boxes of files to hide in the basement?

Obama took his, scanned and indexed them and handed them all over to the national archives to a good little ex-law professor.

Whatever do you think Dear Leader's trying to hide?

Seems like an awfully large number of documents to bury your golf handicap, no?

I hope he didn't make any copies of nuclear bomb codes before he handed back the classified documents he walked out the door with, stolen.

I know, right? How dare Mr Trump get stung on the charge he signed into law as a felony offence?

So unfair, no?

They are playing with fire now.

They found stolen government documents and piles of them. He was asked to return then and Trump didn't They negotiated and Trump didn't return the stolen documents they subpoenaed them and Trump returned 15 boxes of Documents.

Trumps Lawyer signed a document saying that there were no more documents.

The FBI discovered that there were many more documents involved and asked for them - they were not returned.

The FBI subpoenaed the documents and didn't have them returned so they got a court order to go and recover the stolen government property.

Donald should do a significant amount of time for this.

If the FBI are to be criticised it would be the other way around. Any normal citizen holding onto such a stash of government documents would have been raided on day 1. This is heading for 2 years with no action taken on a criminal national security compromise till last week.

What about Obama?
Doesn't he still have 3 million documents?

Should Obama do a significant amount of time for that ?

The official Archive have confirmed that they have all the Obama documents. This claim was always BS.

This was previously post number 444.

The national archives say that your conspiracy theory is BS.

Quote:
National Archives rejects Trump's claim that Obama took 33 million pages of classified documents from the White House and insists they are in a secure facility in Chicago

Note: the 33 million would be changing the decimal point on Hillary's email which is typical of Trump when making numbers up.

Fairly sure that the threat of going to prison for a long long time would have Rudy taking it seriously.

His actions seem to be difficult to deny since he has admitted to much of it and there is a lot of evidence that he broadcast on TV and the things he said in various court rooms. He did after all co-ord the fake electors, Had meetings with the republican politicians provided the process to register the fake electors etc. OH and none of this is legal.

It's not a case of if Rudy goes to prison, it's just a case of when.

They seem to be growing tired of his excuses, so there's a good chance he'll be eating turkey in a prison mess hall this Christmas.

...

And he might be the one who's stuffed.

If Trump is so stupid and corrupt what does that say about his accusers? He has been under constant attack for six years and nothing has come of it except harassment and a stolen election!
