But Linus and his ilk are blind to the
reptilian brain's effect on the cortex brain, and hence Linus believes eradication of war and poverty is impossible, indeed "naive".
In truth, whereas neanderthal competitive instincts might have served an evolutionay purpose when humans had to rely on our skills as hunters to survive, those same instincts are potentially disastous in a world in which warfare is increasingly directed by AI.....in the age of MAD, no less....
