When you are locked out of trading with neighbours because of US sanctions and the US influence in the region... I suspect you'd be SOL.

Are you a communist?

Listen Mr Divide,
it sounds good but it doesn't work in reality.

What "doesn't work" exactly?

Actual progressive marxists/socialists like self-proclaimed democratic socialist Bernie Sanders thinks "an economy which works for all" is possible.

Quote:
Show me anywhere where Marxism or communism has worked?

The post-war Keynesian 'welfare state' era ( free public health in UK and Oz; public housing in Oz) created the post war "golden age of capitalism" (before the Arabs and Asians spoilt the party...).

Quote:
People in Soviet Russia lived ...etc etc

Stop looking backwards, you will end up going backwards.....

As in Oz, today: "comrade" Dan, facing a housing and rental crisis, has decided to limit rent increases to one every two years; the renters are applauding him, the rent-seeking landlords are screaming the sky will fall down.

All of them having forgotten WHY  public housing is not available in Oz today.

Quote:
Communist Cuba is still in extreme poverty after going communist over 55 years ago.
They can't seem to get out of it.

because of vicious US sanctions.

Exactly - condemned to entrenched poverty and endless warfare.

The US almost collapsed into civil war with the Capitol riots, and certainly damaged perceptions of democracy  around the world, all because of its failure to introduce "an economy which works for all". (Bernie Sanders).

And of course Putin invaded Ukraine because war is still 'legal', and the body which determines the 'legality' of war is divided.

And ehat is the political argument in the US?

More than an argument - it turned deadly on 6th January,  as noted above.

Irrelevant, why do you think "cultural marxism" is everywhere ---see Bernie's statement, then understand why.

Well, your blindly ideological mis-assignment of the meaning of terms like "marxism" - and eg,  claiming it equals stalinism. derserves to be designated as "Error".

Well, You certainly won't be capable of a useful discussion about Marxism.

Meanwhile the paranoid US has now locked up two ozzies, Assange and Duggan  - one in the UK, the other in Oz, both awaiting extradition to the US.   (google them).

Bernie's politics is a sensible distance moderately right of centre. In the US a socialist is anyone who is not on the ultra extreme authoritarian right.

Watch Zach Smith CFMEU on Oz housing crisis now at national press club, abc 24.

Interesing fact: in Oz, current GDP per capita is double what is was in 1980, yet now we have the worst housing and rental crisis since WW2.

All because government has genuflected to the  'invisible hand' market ideology, resulting the current system which stinks to high heaven as CEO wages soar and low wages workers suffer a cost of living crisis.....no wonder "cultural MarXism" is "everywhere" - bs of course, but the CFMEU will  certainly be letting timid Albo know it's time for some 'big government' again.

First stop: a super-profits tax, affecting 0.3% of Oz companies earning over $100 million a year.

Capable of funding sufficient public housing, once again (since Menzies funded public housing in the Keynesian 'welfare state' era, 1946-1980, via 'deficit funding').

Speaking in Cleveland, Ohio, on Saturday, Donald Trump calls Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders a communist and says Sanders supporters are ‘troublemakers’. On Saturday night, crowds outside Trump’s rally in Kansas City were pepper sprayed while the cancellation of a rally in Chicago on Friday led to clashes and angry confrontations between protesters and Trump supporters

If Trump calls Bernie Sanders a communist then that's good enough evidence for me.
Why would he lie?
