It's a joke - it's not racist.
Kids love that sort of stuff -
I actually find it amusing that anyone could think of something so silly.
I think Dr Seuss was giving the parents something to laugh at as well
as they read the book to their kids.
All in good taste - not racist -
but the book gets banned by woke idiots.
Millions of laws made up in parliaments and
Govt. places like congress in the USA are not enough -
the state wants to control:

Along with the headmaster - she had to go through the school and the library and collect any of the books she could find from a special Govt. list. Golliwog books were at the top of the list but there were many others. A whole pile of them were burnt in the school incinerator.
