The difference seems to be uniform across multiple Wordle player groups - on average a sound strategy (1. elimination of most common letters up to 3 words, then (2) alphabetical elimination, and/or educated guess for double letter use, etc..) yields about a 0.5 average difference.

Some like to play Wordle in 'Lotto' mode - relying on luck. Others play for a 3.5 - 3.7 average over many games.

It's not a matter of right or wrong.
