Hi Lisa,
young people do silly things due to their immaturity.
I'd forget it as I'm sure one day they will be
very embarrassed by what they've done.

Good point.

Even so...I still intend to write to a number of Sydney Uni staff members. The published article was beyond the pale.

Don't bother - they are just silly kids.

There are a few of those on OzPol too 🥺

It's all Greek to me....

Which is my alternative regular here?

The challenge is out again...... lefty went - he put it that Gnads and I were one and the same - two parts of the same person separated by thousands of miles - wow ... Star Trek ..... and I put the challenge to him - prove it and I will do a Peccary and leave - fail and you leave....

He left... not sure why just yet... maybe freediver took him up on that challenge and enacted it for him.

He always was far too high strung, poor soul...

It's like this. Greeks are cafe owners named Christophoulusaniki with a mustache. A Danish or Austrian person can't be a Greek citizen. The Welsh can't be in England or English in Wales. It's not natural. Read history. Support the Welsh who didn't have a king, just a prince called Prince Jones with a hag whore.

Coubla Days!

Hey - did lefty suffer an infarction after pushing the 'gender wage gap poor sheilas' barrow  when he suddenly found out that in order to 'rectify' this 'problem' his own income would need to be slashed so that he wasn't abusing those poor girls doing the same work?

I mean you can't have a bloke and a sheila both working code and one copping more money, can you?

Bloody gender wage gap right there.... must've near killed him when it came into focus for him... and HE was the abuser .... hard to handle this social science bullshit, innit?

I feel the need to clarify my position given some of the backlash I've received online for my views on the Royal Family.

I'm clearly not a fan of the Royal family. The example set by them is shocking and shameful, selfish and self serving. I thank God every day that my children are nothing like the Queen's. I feel sorry for the poor girls who've married into the Royal family because they must grovel in order to survive. I don't like seeing women being mistreated and yet most of the current daughter in laws of this family have not been treated well.

At this point I'd like to highlight the issue of hypocrisy. Let's never forget the fact that the billions of dollars in wealth owned by the Queen and her Royal family (I'm not referring to Monarchy owned palaces and jewellery etc) are tax free as she herself carefully invested in offshore havens to AVOID paying TAX to her own country. In addition, laws are in place giving herself and her family tax exemptions which other English citizens are not ENTITLED to. A monarch leads by example. Positive not negative example. I have not seen that in the late Queen and I certainly have not seen that in her children.

I feel strongly that it's time Australia broke free of England and became a Republic. The current incumbent and his mistress must surely be enough of a wake up call to every Australian irrespective of age or culture.

As a Christian and as a Conservative my conscience implores you all to reflect and/or pray for Australia and New Zealand and other Commonwealth countries whose leaders are currently seriously considering changing their model of government.

I take this opportunity to pay my respects to the humble and unassuming women of Australia who have died without mention and without accolades all because they were not born into any position of power and privilege YET they gave their time, money and heart into helping those less fortunate than themselves.

This is the 2nd sensible comment I have seen from you.

(The first was about polluters destroying the environment for our children and grandchildren).

But I think Charles has sensible views on  environmental sustainability, like David Attenborough.

Perhaps you could cut Charles some slack for abandoning Diana; sex relationships are tricky, Freud could no doubt explain why Charles dumped a  beautiful young Diana for an older  'plain' Camilla.

oh....and another area you need to acquaint yourself with is public sector funding, if we are to move beyond the forever L-R arguments about the quantum of taxes needed to fund the public sector (government).

https://www.abc.net.au/news/2022-07-24/rba-review-will-it-consider-how-money-is-...

It's the last taboo in central banking. So will the RBA review look at how money is created?

more important than the republic, to close the gaps (black and gender...)

Look - I'm an Australian Republican - I've had the  head man of the movement stay at my home while on the road... I just want to get rid of the kinds of parasites currently occupying the top slots in Corporation Australia, and replace them with a leader who is subject to the will of the people and elected by them.

So all your other fancy moves to retain the status quo which has done us so badly for 234 years now, are not within my lexicon - the book of future improvements needed in this country.

In case you all missed it - nothing new - I long ago advocated that our government Ministers should be elected by the people.... I can envisage a genuine Indigenous as Minister for Indigenous Affairs... someone genuinely disabled as Minister for Disabilities..... someone with experience at being utterly broke being the Minister for Social Security and so forth.................

All these private school kids and other privileged lots that go into politics for a diversion and some easy money, are not the kinds I want holding the reins of this nation...

As I've also said many times - there is nothing about Australia becoming a Republic that precludes it remaining part of the Commonwealth - Charles III The Much Maligned is head of that Commonwealth, but need not be head of our state, and we don't need governors, virtual kings or queens, of any kind.

As for the pharken pen - FCS - his mother died and he is hurting... becoming king was inevitable but still would be a shock ... a pharken pen playing up is enough for anyone to break character and seem spiffy when he's actually hurting.

Give the boy a break.... any man who talks to his plants to get them to grow better is all right by me.
Grow up a bit.  Some of you are utterly disgusting in your comments about Liz.

Well, many of them will be.  Thursday will  be a normal trading day in Victoria,
similar to that of the other states.  Retailers, cinemas, pharmacies, hotels and
restaurants will all be permitted to open.

Quote:
Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, who announced the one-off public holiday,
says the National Day of Mourning on Thursday 22 September, will allow
people to pay their respects to Britain's longest-reigning monarch.

This is not a day of "mourning" for Elizabeth—it was tacked on to the holiday
Friday for the AFL finals holiday in Victoria in order for Albanese to support
the Andrews Labor government in the forthcoming state election.

The fact that the Queen's funeral is on the prior Monday gives the lie to the
public holiday's real purpose.  Realistically, it should've been on that Monday.
