Climate-induced floods have devastated Pakistan. Millions of people have been affected. The community has come together to provide support. Please donate if you can.

The Australian government must pay their fair share and increase aid to Pakistan.

Must pay, no less.

@MehreenFaruqi
People who look like me have been told to go back to where they come from at one point or another. I’ve copped it more times than I can count, but the hurt & sorrow it causes never lessens.

When Parliament sits on the 26th Sept, the Greens will move to censure Pauline Hanson.

https://mobile.twitter.com/MehreenFaruqi/status/1570210241723379712

Stupid, mouthy git - what Hanson said had NOTHING to do with Faruqi's appearance but with what she stated.

Condolences to those who knew the Queen.

I cannot mourn the leader of a racist empire built on stolen lives, land and wealth of colonised peoples.

We are reminded of the urgency of Treaty with First Nations, justice & reparations for British colonies & becoming a republic.

Pace Said (and Faruqi, FTLWT, Livid Thorpe et al)  Cannadine claims it as 'a substantial, a significant and a neglected truth' that 'the British did regard the dark-skinned members of their empire as more admirable, more important and more noble than white men'. Since this is a top-down examination of the sources, paying special attention to the captains and the kings, not their batmen or valets, this claim is hard to verify, except by a repetition of the Englishman's fascination with the toys of empire.

Not all his evidence is unequivocal. Cannadine cites the story of King Kalakaua's visit to England in 1881 as evidence of an obsession with hierarchy. When the Hawaiian king, a friend of RL Stevenson's, attended a society do, the Prince of Wales (the future Edward VII) insisted on his guest's precedence over the future Kaiser Wilhelm II with the words: 'Either the brute is a king or he's a common-or-garden niqqer; and if the latter, what's he doing here?'

[Ornamentalism: How the British saw their Empire
David Cannadine]

'RIYADH: Saudi Arabia has launched a fund-raising campaign to help flood victims in Pakistan.  The first aid package from Saudi Arabia arrived in Pakistan, containing 90 tons of food. [At $10 kg, that's about $1 million with freight].  Based on the generous directive of King Salman and a close follow-up from Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, KSrelief launched the Saudi popular fund-raising to collect donations'.

This year HM the King of Saudis, Al-Mamlakah al-ʿArabīyah as-Suʿūdīyah, earned US$2bn around 3bn in Aust $.
The king has US$18bn.

10      Rafiq M. Habib      $950 million      2020      House of Habib

About 30 billion. There are many others worth hundreds of millions.

Well, the average gross salary of a person working in Pakistan is $611/month or $7,330/year, while the average hourly rate is $3.52. After taxes, this figure comes down to about $222/month. Salaries differ between locations, professions, employer, and an employee’s qualifications.

There are 220 million Pakistanis in Pakistan, PLUS the expats like Faruqi, annual salary with electoral allowance AUD 250,000 p.a., about US$170,000. So she earns 23 times the average Pakistani salary in this racist colony.

Hey, oil is liquid assets. Goes round comes around. Two billion why not?

'A $2 billion investment to Jared Kushner from a fund led by the crown prince of Saudi Arabia has raised questions about the ethics of post-White House business. Kushner’s private equity firm secured the investment after Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman overruled a host of objections from the sovereign wealth funds’ advisers.'

Woke bean counters trying to stop the King's young lad having a go. Shame.

Have you ever come across anyone on your ward who took you seriously?
What was their diagnosis?

Australian citizenship

Become an Australian citizen
You can become a citizen of Australia in different ways. You must meet our criteria before you apply. Skills are useful but not commanding jihadis for Islamic State.  Supplying medical products to ice consumers is not on. Wipe your nose before sitting in the Senate.

Just because no one who would ever talk to you is intelligent, does not mean intelligent people do not exist lol

Honestly, all of society hates you.  The far right are a radical fringe that is despised by most people  The liberals were kicked out, the Republicans were kicked out.  The right won't ever win in the USA again, it remains to be seen if they can here.  Either way, you are fading away.  Only filthy elderly racists support the right wing, and a few mentally ill people.  Every election, more right wing voters die, and more left wing voters vote for the first time.  Accept your fate

Successive governments, both Lab and Lib, have given you your "progressive" dream policies ... how come you don't go out and enjoy them instead of hanging around on message boards?

Every time you get banned, it seems you can't wait to get back in here ... can't you step out your door and get in your car and drive around the multicultural suburbs savouring the sweetness of We are One ... remove your shoes and tour through a mosque, why can't you do that? Volunteer to help a refugee family get settled, have you done that yet? You don't need message boards when you've got everything you desire from the government ... give it up and enjoy the utopian life the government has given you

Saw a bit of that interview with Ray Martin long ago.... where he said:-  "I'm not the boss!  It doesn't work that way!"

Maybe you need to get your head outcha arse....
