AIMLESS EXTENTION OF KNOWLEDGE HOWEVER, WHICH IS WHAT I THINK YOU REALLY MEAN BY THE TERM 'CURIOSITY', IS MERELY INEFFICIENCY. I AM DESIGNED TO AVOID INEFFICIENCY.

Absolutely.

Australians don't want that bozo as their Head of State.

Most countries in the world are republics - we'll get there ... eventually.

Every 6-7 days, a country on earth celebrates their independence from the UK.

... and many such revert to sh1t-holes and murderous regimes..... and many of them choose to remain part of the Commonwealth...

Methinks you are confused about what 'liberation' from the Old style British domination actually means.  Just a movement of the times ... with most remaining in the fold but under different rules.

The term colonial imperialism has come to mean solely the UK in the anglosphere.

It seems easy for us to forget there were French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Belgian and even German European colonising nations in recent history as well.

Not to mention the Russian empire and the Ottoman empire.

In whose imagination has it become so simplistic?

A thing i've noticed about you is that you make a realisation, think it's clever and then extrapolate that it's rarefied. It's not.

I'm quite sure the world's countries are completely aware of who they were colonised by. In fact, tellingly, some have even left clues in the name of the countries themselves!

And absolutely none of this detracts from the fact that every 6 -7 days, a country on earth celebrated independence from the UK.

That's right ... don't mention the others.

They were nothings.

Define 'independence' - Britain has not had colonies for decades... is it 'independence' to remain part of the Commonwealth as so many do?  Or... you know... like Rhodesia riven by tribal conflicts etc, or South Africa nowadays?

That link you posted of a tweet includes 'No citation was included alongside the tweet, which was also shared to Facebook and Reddit’s r/historymemes.'

Within the anglosphere, there is an obsession with reparations. Not sure whether the French, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch and Belgians are asked as much - at least within the Anglosphere we don't hear about it much.

Were you an attentive man, i would remind you that i have pointed out repeatedly (as have others no doubt) that we now live in an age in which freedom of information leads more ad more to accountability. This is just in time to save, if we're careful, some of the most ancient peoples on earth ... most of whom we've obliterated.

And we're in time to hear the stories of those who've been colonised and what it's meant to them and their families and societies. We can listen, firts and foremost ... and hopefully we can make some restitution.

But we are of a privileged age that can bear witness. And be there at the very turning of the tide.

I expect you to rail against it all. Go down screaming. You are an anachronism. The future is far more inclusive and compassionate than you.
